It was the ankle injury that stopped him reaching the heights we had hoped. Took a yard of pace off him. He never had electric pace but was mobile.

I'm also not sure if he quite had the ambition to make it to the very top. He seems pretty happy with his lot, which is fair enough.

Difficult not to look at the crazy comments sometimes though, I'm sure a lot of people are falling into the same trap.

Like the orange fella over at Truth Social, love him or hate him the nonsense he spouts is very hard to ignore.

I suppose that's the model that X and other social media platforms are running with, promote the crazy, the controversial and the confrontational and people will pay attention.

Even away from politics, on subjects like football, people just post pure engagement bait, because more comments and interaction means more revenue. The decision to give posters revenue may have been made with good intentions, but it’s made the app worse overall imo.

Yeah, three of us will be there tickets or not, on the waiting list at Derby and for hospitality at Cambridge - sadly not expecting to hear from either so think we'll be in a pub watching it on an iPad as no luck getting tickets in with the Cambridge fans either 🙁

Let me know if you settle on a pub. I’m sure we could organise a base for people in the same position.

    What celebration?

Just watched his goals again and for the first he runs off and celebrates wildly with the other players.  The 2nd he briefly stands with his arms out accepting the applause and then celebrates with other players and then claps the fans...

The second celebration definitely involved a few shrugs and was a bit of a dig back at fans. Then a bit of a clap at the end.

I think too many people are reading too much into Warne's personal thoughts on the likes of Bradley and CBT.

I think that their inclusion and exclusion from the team today is down to how he felt that the team would perform best as a whole. I said before the game that we would go back to 3 CBs, because Wilson and Sibley are more comfortable playing with that extra CB to cover them. Then you add the extra legs of Thommo in midfield to make the midfield stronger, you have to lose a wide player.

Would also suggest it’s too close to the business end of the season to worry about making a point.

That Matt Walsh seems like a perfectly reasonable bloke too... 🙄.  Is X full of those loons now?

Yup. I can't escape them when I go on. Can't figure out whether it's because the algorithm is deliberately pushing it, or because I stupidly engage by looking at all the morons in the comments, which makes it think I'm interested in that content.

Darren pratley in the Orient team. Wondered what had happened to him.

I’d assumed he’d long since retired. He was part of that Swansea team that tonked Forest in the play offs I believe

Supposed to be part of a front 2 but has been almost playing as a 10 or third midfielder. Now gone central of the front 3 with Washington on the right and NmL on the left .

Thanks. Very strange. Glad he's moved back. Wash off next surely.

I mean, they go up, they don't get a game next season. They stay down, they might get one. Anyone else reckon it's self sabotage? Or just incompetence?

Presumably they'll be receiving promotion bonuses.
