Or you could say the sheer abject absurdity of religion. How crazy. When I was younger it looked as if we were heading into a new golden age of rationalism, but instead we're returning to medieval thinking. You're a professional athlete but because of an imaginary being you're not allowed to eat or drink while playing professional sport. Yeah, let's all applaud that.

    Really not the place mate.

Honest take on tonight is that this is Pompey’s big moment on Sky, on the verge of a return to the second division after years of chaos and about to win the league

I unfortunately think we’re about get “cup finalled”

Yes, but if it was the other way round you'd be expecting Pompey to spoil our party!

Personally, I hope he stays on loan at Gateshead for the rest of this season. While he is on a good run of form recently with his goal scoring recently; the standard of defending in the National League this year has been pathetic.

I've seen a number of Chesterfield games in the division this year and I've been surprised with the lack of ability in the division this year. Usually, the national league is fairly strong, which is seen with teams doing well the following year in League 2, but this year its not surprising that 12 teams are still in a relegation battle with a couple of weeks of the season left.

I'd say the best thing for Dajaune's development would be a loan spell to a League 2 team next season. Maybe at a team like Notts County, Chesterfield or Mansfield if they don't go up.

While I'm sure that Dajaune has the ability to be a key part of our 1st team in the future, I see it being too much of a step up in quality with so few games left for us this season.

Yeah, he's doing brilliantly, but the defending from the highlights is absolutely pants.

Good luck Fruity. You're one of the genuine fans with a genuine reason for not having a ticket. Sorry to hear that you're going home for the wrong reasons (I presume "wrong" is not actually the right word, but you know what I mean).

I only know @DarkFruitsRam7 from forum Skype reunions, but would ask anyone who can help to please do so. He's a very deserving case (even if he does have some bad habits 😉)

Having moved across the Atlantic last summer after 17 years as a season ticket holder and 7 years as a regular away traveller, I'd resigned myself to the fact that the only glory I'd see us achieve in person was as a 6-year old at Wembley in 2007. I've watched from afar this year, excited to see us in with a chance of finally getting over the line, but a little sad knowing that I wouldn't be able to see it in person after so many years of following us home and away.

After receiving some sad family news yesterday, I'm looking at an unexpected trip home in a few weeks' time, most likely coinciding with the Cambridge game. In normal circumstances, I'd qualify for a ticket (I'm in the 10+ band), but tickets had sold out before I knew I'd be coming home.

I know this isn't the proper way of doing it, but if anyone knows of a spare ticket going, I'd be very interested. If circumstances align, I'll probably travel to Cambridge regardless, but to be in the ground for a promotion party would be a genuine dream come true.

Happy to provide receipts for the above if needed. I'm not expecting to be successful, but if you don't ask, you don't get.

    Cheers!

The idea in itself is not the problem, likely it’s the execution.

All of the big clubs across Europe have either goal music or a stadium announcer that gets the fans going. So it’s not surprising we are trying to do the same.

Perhaps the problem for us is that we don’t have a song that feels authentically ours or a stadium announcer that captures the mood?

Porto, for instance, play the same goal music as us and also have a stadium announcer, but it feels very different as everyone gets involved and embraces it as part of the atmosphere.

I’m sure it works for them, but not everything translates from Europe to here though. All the mad pyro in Turkey is great, for example, but it just wouldn’t work here.

I am positive that if they removed the music. There would be a thread asking to bring it back.  I for one am too bust celebrating and only notice extra noise in the background

I’ve never once heard an adult say they enjoy goal music.
