Well Hunt as undone everything that was in Kwarteng's 'budget' in the hope it will re-stabilize the market. Couldn't manage to fully press the reset on in the hope people would forget the financial damage done. There'll be many families who will be facing hardships for the foreseeable future, due to the incompetence of this government.
They are also back tracking on Truss' two year energy plan, that what was going to safeguard us from hugh energy bills. It now appears this plan will be reviewed next year.
Is Truss still in charge or is it Hunt who is now actually setting government policies?

Is the difference though that in football, horse racing, casinos etc, you are betting on the outcomes of events. If you bet on buying shares in a company, you are also hoping that the company does well and the share price goes up.
Now, I can bet on Derby to lose and that will have no impact on the outcome. If I bet big enough money, I could influence the odds on Derby to lose. But I'm only going to make money if Derby do end up losing. And even if loads of people follow my lead and bet against Derby, it doesn't really impact the club in any way.
Now I could short against a company or a currency. My huge bets can cause others to follow suit and impact the value the market places on the thing I'm betting against. I might also be going to champagne receptions with a person who makes decisions that can also influence the price of what I am betting on. There is also no final outcome that decides if I win or lose. I just wait until the price had dropped sufficiently, then I cash in.
My actions might severely impact a currency or a company as their value has dropped. Perhaps it would have dropped anyway and people should admire my predictive skills?
Or perhaps me and the peoeple whose actions dictate the markets, are all part of one big club, and we are all getting rich in driving failure? Companies fail and people lose their jobs. Currencies crash, interest rates are hiked and people lose their homes. I make a fortune though, as the policies my influential friends and I push, lead to the negative outcomes I've bet on.
How about I bet against the pound as my mates/ex-colleagues in government are about to announce a crazy plan of tax cuts and huge borrowing with literally no idea how it will be paid for?
How about I bet against the pound whilst falsely promoting the idea that leaving a huge, free trading block with our closest neighbours will be good for the economy?

I’ll be one of the first to admit I wasn’t exactly enthralled by the idea of having Wildsmith as a number 1 when he signed. I’m sure many others will be in the same position.
I was expecting and hoping another keeper to come in and that Wildsmith would be a good back up, but obviously that never happened.
I think he’s been excellent this season and is yet to really make a glaring error. For a keeper that’s spent most of his career as a substitute, I think he’s stepped up brilliantly.
He’s been one of our better additions this summer, I feel like he deserves some recognition for how he’s started his time here with us.

    We need to show gress.
I'll explain. When i started work many years ago an old head said to me, where are we up with the project ? I said same as last week, it hasn't moved an inch. He said, listen lad, management want to see gress, that is progress or regress, but preferably the former. If we tell them nothing has moved they'll be asking questions and think we've done fack all, all week.
Warne knows how to get out of this league, it may not be very pretty but he's shown it works. Assuming the players get it, you are right, we've got enough to compete for top 6. If they don't get it, it could the wrong kind of gress before he gets the personnel to turn it around.

Shout out to the "Balance" App - currently free for a year, though you can choose to donate if you want to.
I've been struggling with work stress for a few months and especially with being unable to stay asleep & waking up anxious & irritable every day. Not sure how my wife has put up with me.
This meditiation app was recommended to me by a friend and, after 4 days, I can already feel a big benefit. It doesn't matter if you're new to meditation or an expert, as the programme will be tailored to what experience you have, and the issues you are looking to address.

His problem is the PL. In Spain there are 3 big teams and that is it, same applies to French and German league, Italy less so but still not as competitive. Forest spent more than Real Madrid i think.
The PL spent more in the August transfer window than all the top european leagues combined. When in France, friends and family always ask about the PL and getting tickets, in fact they watch it more than than Ligue 1. The PL is the ESL and he wants a slice of it.

I think DCFC is a "nice" club to be associated with - generally club/fans are good natured, funny, loyal and a bit nuts (you have to be). I think one of many things that annoyed me about the MM era was the pure spite and hate directed towards our club. It hurt that noone could see beyond what he had done. Nobody else connected to the club deserved it so perhaps we are keen to show our club in its true light like previously and hence we currently value "nice"

It's amazing how differently people see things at a football match! It seems most people think the Rams were pretty poor, even awful for mot of the match. I saw it that we could have been 2 or 3 up at half time, and all match long Port Vale only threatened our goal 3 times - and one of those wasn't the first penalty, which wasn't even on target. And yes, justice was done by that miss.
And yes as was apoplectic about the ref for most of the match. He was appallingly bad in the first half, but was screwing both side, because he had absolutely no idea what an agenda was. Clearly the EFL put him right on that one at half time. Having said that, Vale should have been down to ten men long before half time. Their number 22 spent virtually the entire match diving to the floor, and should have been carded for it, so his actual yellow card for the foul should have been his second.
So when he committed that yellow card foul in front of the dug-outs in the second half, he should have been walking off. The ref dodged the issue by playing the advantage, but then failing to go back and deal with the foul afterwards. The first penalty should have been a yellow card for simulation - a very harsh decision, given by the linesman, the second one the ref gave from 30 yards behind the play, as he was for most of his poor decisions. He gave offside following a Derby free-kick from 30 yards behind the play (again) when the lino hadn't seen anything, and had no idea what was going on, until the ref indicated offside, and had to tell him to put his flag up - which he did, pointing straight up into the sky because he still didn't know what was going on.. Again, how I don't know because there were defenders between the Derby players and the goal.
And the Collins incident - Collins was wrestled to the floor, the defender pulling Collins down on top of himself, so regardless of the "afters", it should have been a penalty.
A penalty to Derby County? Are you being serious, Dave? But he was able to instantaneously give the red card from  - yes, you've guessed it - 30 yards behind the play. No way could he see what had happened, and seemed determined to wade in with his card regardless. But when Collins was then thrown to the floor, what did he do? Nowt. AS he did when Max Birds was tripped running into the area. Come on - that is two very good penalty shouts come to nothing. And when Sibley was wrestled to the ground right near the end, it was somehow a free- kick to Port Vale. Someone reckoned at wasn't yet another penalty denied, but that must come from having aspirations of becoming an EFL match official. What made it worse was the Vale player giving Sibley a playful double slap to the cheek as he got up, rubbing things in - the Vale man knew what had gone on, no doubt.
The turning point was the decision ignoring the trip on Max Bird in the area - that made it blatantly clear that the match was never going to go our way, as were the vast majority of decisions, and sadly our heads went down from that point onwards. So it was only a matter of time before that 2nd goal went in. And to their credit Vale did take advantage of the extra man.
And about whether the police should get involved for Collins assaulting the Port Vale player - they certainly should get involved with their keep after the match had ended, because he was winding the Derby fans up, and actually told the South Standers to meet him outside - and yes there were some stood near the Vale team coach afterwards to have "words" with him. That is inciting the crowd to violence, which I believe is an arrestable offence.
It is the first match in ages where the officials were escorted off the pitch before any of the players - they normally wait until the Derby players come across to the South Stand so it sounds like were are applauding them off the pitch. Not today - they were running away as soon as they possibly could.
There is a tweet going round showing how the opposition manager met with this ref after a previous match where he had made some awful decisions against Port Vale. Not that we can read anything into this, of course, but it is funny how things turned out today.
I left the ground today disappointed and very angry, but also pleased with how Derby were trying to get things moving forwards every time they got the ball, and were the only team really threatening the goal. If that chance which Knight put wide had gone in, we would have been two up after only 7 minutes, and game over. There were several clearances on or near the goal line. IF their number 22 (and no, I have no intention of bothering to look his name up) had been properly dealt with for his misdemeanours, or if we had been given just on of the three good penalty shouts, we would have won that. And if we hadn't let our heads go down at the appalling decisions going against us, we may well have won. When we are moving forwards, it is not so silky smooth and easy on the eye as it was under Rosenior, but it is one heck of a lot faster and with a whole load of purpose, which to me is much more exciting. There is much to be hopeful about with this team. Stick around guys and stay wit us. I believe we are going somewhere!
