No way in any shape or form will we be getting that sum for a midfielder with one year left on his contract that hasn't exactly been ripping up trees in L1. That is just delusional. 2 to 3 million would be a reasonable amount, and that's on the high end of the scale.

They also don’t know the difference between “there” and “they’re”.  This is taught to 10-year olds in Year 5 English.  Jeez.

Unfortunately, they are right, we do have some embarrassing individuals in this website. Burton were generally very dignified in their defeat, played the game fairly and I do not see why anyone should have any issues with a Club that is run very well.

some of our supporters are showing self entiltment we despise ourselves in the past, we are at the same level for a reason and football is a level playing field when the whilst blows. we need to win this game make no mistake about that, if our players turn up expecting to roll them over because they are little old burton we have lost before the whistle has blown.

My head is all over the place.
We can't keep sacking managers, but I am struggling to see anything from Warne to suggest he will be a success.
He reminds me a bit of Pearson, but without the previous premier league experience that proved he had at least something about him, if it wasn't for the fact he was a loon.
The ref didn't cost us the game, the fact we are struggling to finish off games is what is costing us.
We have players who would walk into most league 1 teams and some championship teams, yet our form since Christmas has been abysmal.
He doesn't seem capable of utilisiting tactics to suit the tools at his disposal.
I want him to succeed, its about time we had a manger that stays for years, like Eddie howe at Bournemouth or ginger fella at Burnley, but I just can't see it.

Bessie1 reacted to Gee SCREAMER !! in Message to derby players
They stopped the sale of the club in December 20 by refusing to accept the findings of an independent panel of trained accountants and property law experts by creating a panel handpicked to go back over all charges using a League 2 ground as a model.  Derby were also given no right to re appeal.  They also kindly released two set of fixture lists for two divisions in case they decided to relegate.  This to placate a club who weren't in Derbys league during the time of said offences and despite us adhering to the deadlines they set for resubmitting accounts.
Not forgetting we only had to do this as they threw their toys out and put together a handpicked panel of friends who insisted on them after they lost.  They then may or may not have refused a Covid loan .  Bit sketchy.
They then deducted points based on a ruling that wasn't in place and advised if we didn't challenge the administration penalty they would assist us in all matters to get a sale as quickly as possible.  Then they decided to let Gibson hold up any sale and the American ambulance chaser constantly threaten to sue without any actual clarity of figure or reason for 5 and 8 months respectively.  This in order to save their own arse and outside any legal framework within administration as an actual court listed creditor.
To further hamper our chances they allowed our nearest relegation rival to sign Andy Carroll and 6 players over the course of the season despite now advising Reading being able to stick to the business plan drawn up was always a challenge.  Whilst allowing this, theyonly allowed us to agree one year deals with a clutch of promising youngsters who have left for sod all and tore up Marriotts one year extension- pre administration.  Despite bringing in 4.5 million pound in January sales they then decided we couldn't give a 4 month contract to a 38 yr old player on 4 k a week.  Previously they had advised this was OK .
They then retrospectively changed the rules and gave leniency for covid for all other clubs after we'd been reared. Stoke for example have written off 80 million in losses and sold the stadium and 60 million debt from one family member to another without any investigation or punishment.  I worked out that if they'd done this previously any punishment- originally thrown out remember-  would have been 2-3 points less for us.
Now we have the joy of Peterboroughs deferred 3 point penalty strangely deferred till December for no reason I can see.
I know you requesting this in jest.  But a quick overview saves the other 1000 pages.

Good post and I gave you a like. When you put it like that, it’s a whole lot more comforting. However, in the interests of balance and to keep our feet on the ground, if, on Tuesday, we lose at Plymouth (quite possible) and Wycombe win at home against Fleetwood (more than probable) they are only 4 points behind but with a game in hand. Obviously if they win that game in hand then the gap is a very uncomfortable 1 point.
Six more wins sounds like enough but we’ll need to win probably at least a couple away from home. I know managers don’t do it (or say they don’t, they quite rightly would say they target every game for a win), but we probably need to be targeting home wins against Fleetwood, Forest Green and Burton (Ipswich and Portsmouth will be tough) and Oxford, Forest Green and Bristol or Exeter away. Wycombe would then need to win 8. They have 5 relative easy home games so they’ll need to pick up 3 on the road (Burton, Morecambe and Cambridge?).

The next two weeks will be interesting as Wycombe play their game in hand the week after next. If things done go well I rather fear a very nervous last day when we play at Wednesday and Wycombe play at Portsmouth. Strong opposition for both of us but neither are likely to have anything to play for by then.
I’ll keep the faith and, as you say, now is not the time to start slagging off either PW or the players.

If the ref was your daughter and she’d dedicated her career to doing well in an industry dominated by men, and the 6th post on a thread dedicated to her was asking if she had nice tits, I think your attitude would be different. If speaking out against that is woke, I make no apology for it.

Glad someone said it. This thread is a microcosm of the issue of women both partaking in football and attending it. I'm not about to get offended on someone else's behalf, because there's far too much of that in the world right now, just think we can do better here.

Let's not act like that's the male referees' fault, though. Football has a terrible problem with players' attitudes towards referees. It's good that she didn't get harangued, but that should be the norm, not the exception.
Some of the comments in this thread are absolutely rank btw. I don't expect the female forum members will find it particularly pleasant reading.

My second away of the season after Bolton. My third after Middlesbro last season (I know, I’ll not bother for a while I promise)
From my perspective, and I hope a little balance….. My mates headed for a pint rather than wait at station, probably the wiser decision.  I decided to wait as I live in Marple near Stockport and wanted to get home to get out for a few local ales. (Definitely NOT John Smiths ?) So I stood towards the rear of the crowd, I witnessed four cans launched over the police at the passing Barnsley fans. Not good.
As an employee of Northern I’m well aware of how poor some of the train planning can be so two car trains were always going to struggle. A four car relief service was in place I believe.  The police managed it extremely well and there was friendly banter with the mounted police and some of the barrier cops. As I passed to the platform I was wished a safe journey home by one of the senior officers.  Thumbs up from me all round for the police. Very competent. Very well managed. I have issues with other forces around the country for other reasons so this isn’t a police ‘love in’ post. My view only but after reading through the thread thought I should add it.
