A question for you all:  what made you choose the team you chose?

Doubt there’s any family loyalties, so what were your reasons?

I chose the Falcons, as it was a straightforward thing of thinking I should watch the NFL show on Channel 4, as all my mates were into it.  The first match I watched was the featured game of the Falcons vs the Buccaneers, so I chose the team that won as the team I would follow.  Wasn’t going to choose the popular Bears/Dolphins/Raiders options at the time…

I picked the rams because after 2-3 years of watching I wanted a team and said whoever had first pick I’d support. Enter the disappointing Sam Bradford and the rest is history. Just a happy coincidence it was the rams.

If I were Mr Clowes I'd just keep offering him the best terms possible within our restrictions. We can only offer two year deals? Fine, top his deal up every twelve months for whatever we can offer.

He is that important right now. Same goes for Wildsmith.

Totally agree, I don’t want to see him go but if he goes for anything less than £5m I’d be annoyed. He showed loyalty when others didn’t and that goes a long way with us fans, coupled with the fact he’s rather good at his job! He could become a legend with us.

What a performance from Cash again last night , must be on the radar of clubs higher up , lets all hope hes still a Ram when window closes

Signed a 2 year contract in the summer didn’t he? (Already a legend for that in my opinion) 18 months left on his contract, he can be on the radar all they like, anyone who wants him will have to pay for him! Wouldn’t even entertain anything less than £5m.

Glad you're enjoying it, buddy. If anyone else got a copy for Christmas, hope it didn't get in the way of the day too much!

Gave it to my dad for Christmas, now just have to wait for him to read it so I can… would have bought two but cost and living and all that ?‍♂️?

This is to be my next big adventure- going to a match on my own. I used to regularly but 3 years ago today I was undergoing surgery to find my brain and then to repair the haemorrhage in it! As well as suffering small physical and mental losses, I also lost a lot of confidence. I’ve been setting myself challenges although my partner and family are not very enthusiastic! With this game being so early it means I can be back in Bristol for 5.30 so it’s not too long a day.

I may spend the following couple of days in a darkened room! COYR

This is what football is all about! Thoroughly hope you enjoy your day and we put on a good show for you mate ?

There's always an excuse not to take the cups seriously though:

'It's so important just to get out of League 1 this season"

"It's so important just to stay in the Championship this season"

"We aren't that far of the play-offs this season"

"We have a real chance of going up automatically this season"

"It's so important just to stay in the PL this season"

Etc, etc... which is way I prefer to take them seriously every game, every season... otherwise we never will.

The three greatest things the club has ever done are win the League twice and the FA Cup once... however great the Jim Smith era was (for example), we still were only mid-table in the PL. Anyway, off topic really, so my apologies. Good and well deserved point tonight!!

If we don’t get out of this league quickly we risk being here for a long time… just ask Ipswich, Portsmouth, etc. Why risk promotion on getting to the fa cup 4th round? We are not going to win it this year or any year in the foreseeable future. I’d have done it for the pizza cup as we actually had a chance at that. The financial gain of promotion massively beats the financial gain of a couple of wins in the fa cup. We just don’t have the depth to fight in every competition and the league 100% needs to take priority imo.

Well said B4, every game in every competition in every season should always be important. The whole point of football is to win trophies after all.

We don’t have the luxury of a squad, we basically have a first XI and 2 or three subs. Normally I’d agree but sod all the cups off and go all in on promotion. What would we do if Bird have a season ending injury against Newport? When we actually have a squad go for it but not this season.
