I've met Curtis in hospitality a few times as he's always a good person to put forward in terms of how well he speaks. But I was always struck by coming across him on Wembley Way for the last playoff final, when he'd been frozen out of the team but was making his way from the Tube to the ground to support us and seemed so desperate for us to go up. Same for Timi Elsnik supporting us that day despite being released. 
Should have quoted @86 Hair Islandstoo sorry. Curtis would be a great coach if we didn't already seem to have more coaches than players. And while you may be right on salaries, our club is in a parlous financial state and I feel/hope there will be a reset in nonsensical player wages after the Covid lockdown. It has to stop. Contracts coming to an end is a good time to stop it, even if we might think it's not realistic. We've seemingly paid way over the odds for far too long. 

Waggy paid off all his costs with two goals and a chest down for Roberts. Rooney saved us millions by keeping us up. Mel saved the Club's season by funding the purchase of Roberts who scored a vital goal. Season is over. We move on. COYR

An alternative title for this thread "Tell the forum roughly how old you are without actually stating your age". 

Martyn Waghorn. I’d be falling out of love with the rams and professional football in general having had a season ticket for 30 years and had decided not to renew next year. I’d not watched a match on tv or even listened on the radio since the forest match but I had sky sports news on in the other room yesterday. Hearing then seeing his collision with the post I was genuinely concerned if he was alive! Stelling and Merson were amazed that he was carrying on. I knew he was gonna have some impact on the game. Season ticket will more than likely be renewed again now.

I'm one of those who chose not to watch. Season ticket holder, watched all previous games on ramstv.
For me it was a combination of nerves totally shot and baseless superstition. I knew I would be turning it on, off, on, off, on, off.
I dont regret it in the slightest. My baseless superstition means I honestly think me watching the game would have caused us to lose and get relegated (I know how stupid that sounds).
I'm the hero in all this. Not waggy. Not curtis. Not Rooney. If I hadn't have missed watching the game we would have gone down.

Whys Warne so upset then.  Is it us agreeing to play them 24 hours after a game was called off to help them with their mismanagement of covid amongst the squad or is it giving them a player on loan for the season to boost their squad.
Back to League 1 you moaning Bamford and take that big mouthed gob poo with you.

Purely based on EFL on Quest highlights over recent months but a couple of young flare players who've caught my eye are Carlos Mendes Gomes (Morcambe) & Scott Twine (Swindon)

I also have a worry about signing players who have been good elsewhere for a long time. Barry Bannan is 31 years old, his best days are probably behind him, we would be his last gig. This goes right back into the category of signings people are saying we should avoid.

If we have learnt anything over the last seven years it should be the crippling effect of high wages. Ikechi Anya being the ultimate lesson.
So for that reason Clucas and Barkley wouldn’t be on my shopping list.
Wyke is a question of playing style. He’s a monster in the air and could see Byrne getting 20 assists next season.
But (and this is my view and I suspect not Wayne’s) I’d rather we had a mobile front line with multiple threats. I’d rather keep CKR as our foremost battering ram when we need to play it but recruit pace, mobility and goals across a revamped front line.

Neither team all season had come from behind to win so when we went 2-1 up it was never going to finish like that likewise when it went 2-3, I’m just happy it ended in our favour for once.
it’s been a pretty awful season on and off the pitch so survival was massive for us as a club! 

As for the players celebrating after with the fans I don’t blame them a young squad that has been chucked under the bus a lot this season they deserved to celebrate in the end! 

Not true we had a valuation provided by a competent international firm.  Undoubted.  That’s why they haven’t appealed.  I think there have been other values since that support the professional value

I liked Cocu and thought he did well in his first season, in the end I just about accepted he had to go after the poor start to this season.  Having said that, in hindsight I am not sure he would have done any worse than Wazza. How do you think Wazza has done a better job? I am sure you realise the stats show the opposite ?
