Not quite the right place to post this i know, but if Newport win today they are going to dedicate it to Mark O'Brien, for that reason alone i am a Newport fan for the afternoon.

Tom Lawrence ended up having a big say in our championship survival this season, surprised he didnt make the cut.

Both pretty quiet. Ireland were very poor. Ebosele noticeable for a couple of wild tackles 1st half. Some nice touches from Watson as you'd expect but pretty non-existent in all honesty.

Hopefully that gives him the desire to come back fired up next season to prove that it was a mistake to omit him from that squad.

I feel for Knight. It's like young players aren't allowed to play their natural game now in case they're pigeonholed as lazy.
So what we get is a lad working his balls off, and management forgetting he's actually a talented and skilled footballer and just seeing a workrate.
He's practically played every outfield position already, no wonder he's not found a niche. He's not been allowed to.
If he does go, hopefully we get Clarke in exchange. If not, hopefully we get a manager who understands how to deploy him.

I’d keep Knight. He’s good at football. Eventually we’ll get a manager who realises this.

Fans were on Whittaker's back from his first home game because they saw a skinny, lanky kid and thought that he would be someone to run and chase down, and because he wasn't and they thought he was being lazy he was given a hard time.
You say he was given chance after chance, he started 2 league games and had 23 sub appearances, hardly given a chance at all.

Show a player respect when he's with us and they'll show respect back.
Unfortunately there are a noisy minority (both on social media and at matches) who want to pick a fight.
Tom Ince at Stoke - looked petrified when he came onto the pitch first match against us but the majority clapping him soon drowned out the few haters and he clapped us back.
Can't understand people who abuse our own players myself, especially those who've come through the ranks with us.

In all fairness the Wigan deal was criminal rather than a bad deal. The owner had the money but deliberately destroyed the club.
I'll wait for more details who the Americans are before any real comment but gut instinct is we might see some of the previous American owners return in a different consortium.

Keogh for his role in the Joiners incident.
As captain, you’re the leader on and off the pitch.
To then refuse a pay cut whilst injured due to his own stupidity, takes the club to tribunal. Sorry but for me that’s unforgivable. He was the club captain.
As for Morgan Whittaker, think it’s a classic case of fans can give it, but not take it.
He wasn’t shown the love the likes of Sibley and Knight have, maybe he won’t ever be good enough but as a local lad, that must have hurt him.
To then score against us, a game which looked to be a further nail in our coffin as he was off to the play offs, I don’t blame him for his celebration.
It’s laughable that he and his girlfriend have now closed their Twitter accounts over tweets from Derby fans following the final whistle.
He’s still a kid, trying to break through into the game. Actually did a lot of work with food banks whilst here, helping families in need and we’ve turned on one of our own, all because we thought he wasn’t good enough.
It’s sad to see tbh, scores against us again I expect even more of a celebration, not sure our fans could handle that.

Please, before saying how bad Mel's decisions have been can people just think how they actually felt when those decisions were made. Managerial appointments and sackings, player signings (both the player and the contract they were offered), CEO sackings.......... The only decision that really strikes me as being widely opposed to was the sale of the ground. And that was probably the only one that (because of the earlier decisions) was actually the right one.
A massive 94% were in agreement with Rooney's permanent appointment at the time. There isn't a thread on the forum now that doesn't allude to that being the cause of our current on pitch problems.
Opinions change. That's a right for everyone, but don't say that they haven't changed and that you always felt that way. Admit you were wrong. No one will call you out on it. You might even get a like for admitting it.

Championship to Champions League in a couple of seasons.
He also comes across as a decent lad, went from Lampard’s pet receiving all kinds of abuse, never gave anything back, just got his head down and played.
Chelsea player of the season and Champions League winner. So happy for him.
