For me it’s not the way the EFL have treated us so much it’s how they have treated other clubs who are in similar strait’s because consistency is totally missing with a climate of totally changing the so called rules and interpretations.
The worse thing - the absolute worst thing was the EFL allowing a situation to occur where we were being blackmailed with the very existence of our football club because of the actions of the owners of Middlesbrough and Wycombe football clubs.

I will never get over what the EFL did to my beloved club.
Surprises me why other readily accept it

Dobbin now on 7 assists for the season to go with his 3 goals. Only McGoldrick and Mendez-Laing have more direct goal contributions this season.

Maybe a financial loss, but at what cost to morale and team building is cutting someone out (Chester in this instance) due to illness/injury?

Warne is all about family and togetherness, if he says he is great around the place then ruthlessly disposes of someone how are future signings going to feel?

we all also herald DC (and rightly) but is his company and personal ethos one of immediate cost cutting or seeing the bigger picture?

Personally I’d be more worried if we started treating people like cattle  again.

I'm sure players like Barkhuizen, Hourihane, NML and McGoldrick would love being called journeymen.
They were part of an incredible piece of recruitment and planning by LR.
Rosenoir ought to change his name to Leon as he is slowly being painted out of the revolution by many fans.

We got shafted because Steve Gibson threatened Rick Parry and Mel Morris wasn't as clever as he thought he was.
Derby got punished and nearly went out of business. Gibson, Parry and Morris are all very wealthy men who deep down don't give af about football supporters and probably treat it as a gentlemen's game of oneupmanship to rip the plebs off and laugh about it in their golf clubs while sipping 25 year old single malt.
I don't want anyone to feel sorry for Derby, football fans don't do stuff like that. Tell people what actually happened that we didn't breach any EFL regs at the time but were brought down by Gibson and Parry's incestuous relationship and don't give an actual feck if they believe us or not.

Things like this are why I take it as "you should always be an ambassador for your club", especially if you're far away from Derby. Whilst I don't think I've recruited / converted anyone to the true light, I know for sure I've helped the odd person see DCFC in a better light.

Yup, I remember. Got in a bit of a scuffle myself in the Normo End coz I called some bloke out for shouting racist abuse at Yeboah. The steward who came to resolve it was the most massive 'person of colour' you've ever seen. Needless to say, the bloke I had been arguing with got ejected.
    Happy days!!!

Yes quite.  All those PSG fans who turned for the champions league final were there to support their own team, as were those in Hungary last year who had to play behind closed doors.
Perhaps we could have experienced a bit of Europe ourselves in the late eighties but something happened that caused a banning order preventing us.  Some club who perhaps weren't concentrating on just supporting their own team.
Memory escapes who might have caused that scenario.  Can anyone help.

IMO the BBC should not be giving taxpayers money to “ foreign” sports. Leave that to Sky etc. There are plenty of under funded British based sports that need the cash and exposure.

Yeah, I don't like it. If a batter is taking the piss with the backing up, then give a warning and if they keep doing it then fair enough. Dean wasn't doing that yesterday, it was standard backing up and she was still in the crease when the bowler entered her delivery stride.

To be fair to the guy, he gets interviewed an awful lot with very similar questions setting him up to present a positive response. It's natural he'll fall into some verbal ticks.
The thing is, he does actually seem absolutely delighted, and honest and passionate. It's nice to see and no doubt he'll find different ways to say the same thing as he moves forward.

R@M reacted to Steadybreeze in Who s enjoying league 1?
Really enjoying this season so far. After 14 seasons straight in the Championship i was glad to get out, tbh it didnt bother me if it was up or out the bottom. All those seasons waking up having to drag yourself to another game against Preston, QPR, Bristol City, Blackburn, Reading. Then as if that wasnt bad enough you had teams with truly moronic support, the likes of Brum, Millwall, Boro, Stoke etc, its a horrible nasty desperate place the Championship and im glad to be out of it for a bit.
Ive found myself going back to how i first followed the Rams. Couple of beers at lunch, something to eat and just enjoy the game. A quick flick in the evening to see the scores down the leagues and thats it really. Don't care about the Prem or Championship, not even too bothered about who's where in Division one yet

We had 5 players 6 weeks ago, we had a shorter pre season than all other clubs, we are 4 league games in, and have lost once, we have been the better team in all of those games so far, we have the makings of a very decent side.
Last year I was so proud to be a Derby fan, let's not lose that togetherness and stick behind the team together as one.
I for one am very happy with the huge progress we have made as a club in the past 6 weeks

“But they still have dead wood in the form of Depay, Neto, Samuel Umtiti, Sergino Dest, Miralem Pjanic, Alex Collado and Martin Braithwaite, though the latter is playing hard-ball.”
Reckon any of that deadwood would take 12k a week and the pleasure of playing real football in front of real fans??
