We should do one like those old episodes of Doctor Who where they got all the previous Doctors back to solve the problem. We could have Clement, Jewell, Billy, Nigel and maybe even Colin Addison and John Newman all bringing their collective experience together to get us moving in the right direction.

I'm interested in what Stoke look to have done, they seem to have nill valued a lot of their players chalking it up to Covid losses. Of course this will allow them to throw money at the problem later. This seems to be against the view from our case that the straight line method is appropriate. Will this be accepted? If this is accepted does it mean if they get a fee for one of their nilled players at a later date the whole method will be invalidated and they will have to resubmit accounts based on the straight line method? Or will it be fine unless they pip Middlesbrough to the last playoff spot in a few years?

The problem is the rules are what the EFL decide retrospectively.
We bent them, in the way that accountants normally bend rules, what we submitted was legal. But the EFL have decided after accepting them for three years that they are against the rules. The DP seem to see this but the LAP don't. What really concerns me is the EFL won't stop until they have screwed us, various parties seem keen on helping them, and they have painted us a cheats who deserve it. The timing of the press release last night and that there seems to have been communication about the case from EFL to Wycombe seems to be sinister. I have been getting more annoyed all day and might have to express it by sending Mr Parry a jiffy bag full of dog droppings.

So my parents left the gate open in case she managed to find her way home, and this morning when they went downstairs she was asleep on the garden. No idea where she was or how she got back, she happy that she did!

I only posted this to show some other chairmen are a bit lax with employment law and have a laugh at Gibson. If I ever bump into Gibson I might enquire, in a friendly way, if his wife is still ducking nuts before talking about football.

I dont think what can be in doubt is the appalling way the news was leaked to the press.

Surely it isn’t as simple as saying that if we have to make adjustments, we fail P&S and get punished because if the EFL had done their jobs in the first place, as the governing body, they would have pulled Derby up on it. Derby would surely then have adjusted transfer plans accordingly to meet P&S at the time?

This player later on after Geoff Barrowcliffe who incidentally I quoted on my first post which needs correcting regarding mixing up Osmaston  End and Normanton End that  gives me just as much love is of course is Charlie George.

I "Got into The Rams" just as we started to tippy toe away from all that "Best team in the land" malarkey, so whilst I had a lot of admiration to "The gang of '75", I didn't see enough of them to make them true (personal) icons.
