Derby County Football Club belongs to you, but also to the people of the city and the community of fans around the world. And many are very worried for the club's future. What are your plans for the club if the worst happens and you cannot find someone to buy it off you?

Can you give a cast iron guarantee you'll continue to fund the club with the minimum amount needed to ensure survival as a club, until any takeover how ever long that will be?

I would like to submit this non football related question, but one that I feel on a human level should be asked.
Mel, how are you and how is your health?

After years of work and research here it is !
The Derby County shirt worn in the inaugural season of 1884 by the pioneers of our club, Cambridge Blue, Amber and Chocolate Brown the first colours of the Rams, it was thought that the early colours were blue but it was a shade of blue called Cambridge Blue which is actually more of a green. The badge was the badge of the Derbyshire FA that a player was permitted to wear if they had been selected to represent the Derbyshire FA.
we have had two made by a local tailor after we sourced the correct colours and the materials, the embroidery was done separately, even down to mother of Pearl buttons, it is to add further integrity to the book but moreover to show where the club evolved from, the team that wore these colours set the precedent for all those that have followed, the shirts will be on display at our Rams Heritage roadshows later in the year.
brought to life after 137 years by Phil Lowe & Jason Shardlow.

masks have been proven to reduce transmission in the vast majority of droplet/aerosol spread viral disease and multiple studies advocate the wearing of them to reduce the transmission. The level of efficacy of mask-wearing as a preventative measure varies depending on which studies you look at but the overwhelming body of literature that I've seen supports its use. It DOES make a difference. The argument it hasn/t worked because X number of people have died/been affected doesn't stand-up, many more people would have likely been infected/likely died without them and how correctly/strictly they are being adhered to will also affect the data.
Some sources if you want to find out more:
Mask wearing in pre-symptomatic patients prevents SARS-CoV-2 transmission: An epidemiological analysis ( https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32592903/ )  this one shows up to 2.5x reduced chance of catching COVID in close contacts
Potential utilities of mask-wearing and instant hand hygiene for fighting SARS-CoV-2 ( https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32232986/ ) this one uses a variety of similar SARS strains to emulate coronavirus to show masks block between 99.98% and 95.15% of droplets.
For balance I have included a RCT (randomized control trial) suggesting they do not definitely stop infection. However, this can be argued to be a flawed view as even if masks stop them on 99/100 occasions and on the 100th time they fail to stop transmission this study may falsely class them as 'ineffective' at stopping spread. Fair enough on your opinion, my opinion is that Mel Morris spent £200 million of his own money supporting various managers wants and unfortunately most of that has been spent on average players with little sell on reality which results in our situation. All of that is a big shame which has been sprinkled with some bad luck at just the wrong moments but we are where we are.

I wouldn’t take the punishment out of principle, but then I can understand why the club would just to settle it and be allowed to move on.
Whilst you have the likes of Gibson and Wycombe threatening to take legal action, the EFL will continue to appeal to show they have done everything in their power.
My concern now is there is genuine tension between the club and the EFL, this might calm once Mel has completed the sale of the club, just fear that we will be scrutinised for any minor infraction now and on their radar.
With the club statements made, we have embarrassed them, shown the EFL up as the incompetent organisation it is, and that will have ruffled some big feathers.
Some would argue, we should have kept quiet, rolled over, but let’s not forget how this tension really all started, way back when Mel was the one actively fighting for better TV deals to benefit the entire Football League gaining support along the way.
I agree with @Dan_Ram, as fans of this club we should be doing our bit to change the narrative to the real issue here which should be a huge story.
Unfortunately though, the vocal fans we do have are using their voices to continue with their anger towards the club from top to bottom.
We have no chance of this happening and I find that kinda sad in all honesty, doesn’t feel like we have any togetherness at all right now. Some will argue that’s Mel’s fault for the way he’s run the club, but that’s missing the point here which Dan has made in this thread.
When you see other clubs like Leeds for example, blatantly cheating with spying on training sessions they were out in force over Derby forums and social media defending their club.
Us? We even had fans saying so what, they spied on our training sessions preparing to play them and that’s the difference.
Keogh, rather than look at what he did to this club, we have fans out there going through employment laws section 2b on page 456 that says we did wrong.
Forget the fact that the club captain refused a taxi home and stayed out with young lads, one of which had been drinking to get over the loss of his mum, get in a car with them.
No no, 2b in the employment law, page 456 ffs says we should have sacked them all, wanting us to write off one of our most valuable assets that could still perform for the club and actually needed an arm round him, some support as the young man tries to get over the loss of his mum.
I really dislike Leeds, REALLY dislike Leeds but I can’t help but respect the togetherness through right or wrong, that is there club and nobody shall attack it.
I’m sure you could link this to the atmosphere between the 2 grounds as well, feels like we’re waiting to boo rather than get behind the team.
As a disclaimer to this I do feel there are times when you cannot support, a player that has been racist for example, found guilty, but in fairness I don’t think he’s been that popular since with them.

For an organisation to approve and sign off on accounts for 3 seasons, to then turn round and say hold up, you know how we approved those accounts? Yeah, we don’t anymore and decided we want to retrospectively punish you by relegating you.
Whatever your thoughts on Mel, the signings, appointments the colour of his shoes, this is just insanity, it honestly is and it’s vindictive insanity even taking club bias out.
This case should worry every single owner, manager and fan of clubs under the shambolic EFL pyramid.
Including that Championship club where the owner owns another club over in Greece, transferring players between each other to circumvent FFP restrictions without even trying to hide it and the EFL are blind to it.
Our real crime here let’s be honest is being better than Middlesbrough one season, that’s the big issue here.
We’ve upset this little bloke up North sat in his half empty stadium so much he’s had his lawyers out to shake the EFL suits up.
Then you have that Karen Maguire over on Twitter sticking his great big spoon into the mix as it gives him a hard on and appearances on rogue radio stations and podcasts.
    Absolute joke.
Nobody from the EFL will read this, but if somehow you do, fine yourself, fine yourself for being an inept organisation and if you’re serious about looking out for the best interests of the member clubs, sell up, hand the leagues over as you have shown time after time you are incapable of running them, you’re an embarrassment.

Its easy to be derogatory about the owners in this situation but the real enemy is the EFL
They are an absolute joke of an institution and don’t get me started on Steve Gibson and Wycombe Wanderers

Side effects of getting the Yorkshire variant are said to include an immediate reluctance to spend money, talking in an annoying and grating whiny accent, and having an overwhelming feeling of self-importance.  Long COVID has actually been endemic in Leeds and Sheffield for over 50 years based on my contact experiences.

Getting quite bored of all the 'nobody's going to want to buy us' BS. To my mind, most recently, there were three really significant inhibitors to what I would term, serious investors; firstly, the imminent threat of relegation'; secondly, the fear of a significant points deduction for next season and a possibly another season-long relegation fight as a result; and lastly, the fact that a deal had already been struck with Alonso pending EFL ratification. In the last few weeks, two of those factors have already been mitigated and we are now told we have multiple credible suitors. Happenstance?
As regards the last outstanding issue, that being our punishment for our supposed FRS 102 'non-compliance', gimme a break! Does anyone really believe the original DC are suddenly going to turn around and ratify a 12 point deduction, or anything like it?
My predictions for the immediate future: A) The club will be under new, EFL approved and sanctioned ownership inside 3 months. B) There'll be no significant FFP punishment, if for no other reason than we've done nothing wrong. C) The current never-ending pile-on from some on here will thankfully peter out and melodrama and inter-fan sniping levels will return to something like those prevalent before the original FFP charge.
    And breathe....
