Age is relevant, DM will be 36 in November, Would he have been able to see a 46+ game season at DCFC...nope not a chance in hell, PW would have made him a priority to sign, But as some posters have said...his heart ruled, Bearing in mind before he signed for us last season he was thinking of retirement, So he got a lifeline with us which he grabbed and now a boyhood dream has followed.

He's now plying his trade in league 2, I watched the playoffs, Stockport, Carlisle, Salford and Bradford City an awful watch, He's going down to play against the dead men, Cloggers, Nutters, Over physical, Clumsy is a polite way of saying be careful what you've wished for, His brain is far far to good for that division, Notts County had better have some other better players in the pipeline to protect and feed that brain of his...I'll be following with great interest.

All the best DM you were a joy to watch 👍

At the start of the season, people were saying he would be too old. He’s managed the season well. One year older? I don’t see why he wouldn’t have a good run of games. He looks fit. He might even manage 40 plus games for Notts. Some players just manage games well and their bodies well and have longer careers. He’s one of those. He’s never going to be a long term signing but Derby now need a player of his goal scoring capability and quality next season. Very tough to find. Hopefully Warne will find one.

They’re looking pretty certain now right?

10 games remaining. Even if we pick up a mediocre 15 points from that lot, Wycombe would have to win 7 of their last 11 to overhaul us. That’s not going to happen.

They say the playoffs are a lottery.

But for me it has that feel of when we reached the playoffs under Gary Rowett. Feels like we are in there with better sides than ourselves.

No way are they certain. Patchy form, not in them yet. Wycombe could easily win enough to overhaul Derby. Would be disappointing to drop out now but uncertain away form in particular. I think playoffs would be a solid achievement this season.

Firstly I just want to go on record and say what a great job Korey is doing at RB for the team, top top player.

However in the last few games I’ve noticed how many times he has crossed the ball from deep straight into the ground/to the first defender/to the edge of the box for a perfect counter attack. Against Lincoln this must of been at least 8 times… it was almost like he just couldn’t connect with the ball properly.

Were we just very lucky to have Byrne with us last year and his crosses were spot on? Or is there some reason why Korey can’t cross for toffee?

To clarify I think his overall game is great, just these crosses I noticed the past few games… maybe it’s just me…

    Byrne was quality

  4. A lot of finger pointing at the Lincoln time wasting which is normal because it’s frustrating - I remember Millwall often doing this so blatantly at least twice at Pride Park but Derby as a top side in this division need to find ways of getting through it and we obviously didn’t play very well. A lot of injury time too. Fair play to Lincoln, we have met them twice this season and failed to beat them. A lot of sour grapes- a point isn’t disastrous. There is poor officiating in this division but enough excuses - Derby just have to better than the opposition and not look slack. Top 2 are freakishly good and unlikely to be caught (nothing impossible though). Playoffs would be a good achievement this season.

  5. If the allegations are correct, and 100 breaches of regulations are proven, this should be automatic relegation, maybe 2 or 3 divisions - won’t happen but if Derby are docked 9 points for the accountancy issue surely proportionally this should mean expulsion or a few relegations? Unbelievable. And yes Premier League is a different entity but it’s really unfair. It’s essentially a super league already.

I thought the ref today was a cheat, I really don't like moaning about the officials, I always thought it evened out over a season but we have to accept that the League One referees and officials have been told not to favour Derby County FC.

There was at least half a dozen poor tackles on Derby players that went unpunished.

I assume the ref waved play on for a potentially career ending challenge hoping against hope that we wouldn't score from it. He must be devastated and will have to face the wrath of the EFL no doubt.

The EFL are terrified, Derby's on fire....

Thought the ref was fine. Seen much worse. Good advantage for Derby’s goal.

Attendance was 11,512 not great but made it easier to get away from the ground at the end.

Yeh, shame but obviously the Fa cup has lost some of its sparkle. Glad I went though, the Torquay match and yesterday’s match were very enjoyable so the cups have been great entertainment so far this season. Got a message from a Forest fan regarding the attendance, quickly reminded them of their gate just over 7,000  in the third round a couple of seasons back! They haven’t replied

If Moyes is still the manager they will field a very strong side

Maybe but last season against Kidderminster and season before in EFL cup against Charlton they made loads of changes. You never know. They're in a relegation fight tis year.

That’s us out almost certainly, but at least it’ll be with dignity

West Ham have been known to field pretty much a reserve team. I would hope we give them a game at least. We can win.
