No sympathy for Wednesday. They cheated us out if a play off place. They’ve reaped what the sewed.

I seem to remember the return leg was televised, I think by ITV but have never been able to track it down.

We have through Wigan went into adminastion and as soon as they came out they were allowed to spend what ever they liked.
Fair Point B4. Does anyone know how draconian Wigan's business plan was?

Revenue for the season won't be too far off £20m.
Operating costs will be at least £15m (peaked at over £40m in 17/18) and wages wony be too far off £10m. We're already at a £5m loss.
Then there are transfer payments (£2.5m for Jozwiak, and about £2m for Bielik this season). Now up to £9.5m.
What is included in "operating costs" if not the wages of staff?

Look at @Archied post every day from now on. And take up his offer.

Ive watched the sending off incident several times and also played many many games, some very physical and IMO there is just no way that what Collins did actually hurt the Vale player to elicit that reaction, and it was that reaction plus the other players rushing in that got him sent off.

At the first game in Europe, I was on the Pop Side with my Dad as usual, but also, because of the special occasion, my mum came along too. On this night the Club did what was an unusual gesture, the Stewards just before the game, walked around the pitch side with beauquets of flowers to give to female supporters....my mum, not one to stand back, got to the front of the terrace held out her hands and claimed the flowers. Strange memory but true. I saw all the home games of that first European campaign...what days.

I'm not too fussed if he stays or goes.
Not yet proven, Seems naïve e.g. not been able to respond and change things during games when other managers have sussed us out in the 2nd half. Subs questionable recently.
I'd keep him as interim until the questionable areas are resolved.
Oh please not the old “he has no plan B”….what every arm chair coach says about their teams manager after they lose a game.

would be good to get a higher gate than the dogs today as I can't see Bournemouth selling all their tickets.

Why are people fretting so much......Shrewsbury conceded just 51 goals last season, they are very tough to break down and yet, arguably, we should have won 1 0 with the Stearman chance, and we wouldn't be having this debate.
Building from the back is the new norm in football. we are doing it with L1 players who have just met each other. We've made a reasonable if not spectacular start....but already the moaning starts and the chipping away at a manager after 4 league games....we have a very strange supporter base.
