Indy got a reaction from LeedsCityRam in Supporters Charter Meeting - 22 September 2022
Keeping stuff open for an hour after is a good idea. When we went to the play-off semi at Brighton, it was good to have a relaxed drink after and let the crowds go down a bit. Make sure the screens have post-match coverage on, get some more revenue.

Indy reacted to ram59 in Paul Warne appointed as Head Coach
I really like LR and think that he did really well recruitment wise, considering the restrictions, but his continued use of the slow ponderous possession football from the ridiculous goal kicks and passing across the back line, has been driving me crazy during his and Rooney's tenure. I can remember only 1 goal against Fulham that could be attributed to this tactic, whereas many goals and even more chances have been conceded using this tactic. I see this tactic being used at the top level with similar success levels, even though those players are more talented, but so are the opposition. It seems to me that some big wig in UEFA coaching has decided that this is the way to play football and every coach getting his pro license has to go down this route.
Oh, for the old days before UEFA told everyone else how to play football and we had the likes of Clough, Shankly, Revie etc, who all had different ideas on how to play football, when football was far more entertaining than it is today. If every team plays to the same coaching manual, then they become predictable and teams cancel each other out, unless you can spend megabucks on the very best players. Back in the old days, good managers/coaches could surprise the bigger established teams. Look what Cloughie achieved with relatively unknown group of players, could you imagine Cloughie or Shanks going on a UEFA pro license course?
It reminds of a time, many years ago, when I had many great games of squash with a friend of mine. He used to receive coaching from the local 6th form college and used to get annoyed when I would win a point by playing the 'wrong' shot, the coaching manual said that I should have played the shot that he had then anticipated and not the random one that I had played. My point is that there is still and always has been a place in sport for being unpredictable.
To be honest our football under Cocu, Rooney and LR has become boring, slow and pedestrian for large parts of each game. How I long for a bit of variety and getting some pace into our play.

Indy reacted to Gisby in Morecambe v Derby (A) Matchday thread
It’s a massive mistake. The whole of the footballing community has effectively been ‘silenced’, prevented from showing their respect. What a spectacle we could have put on. Once the opportunity has passed it is too late. The moment will have gone.

The train services are actually in the private sector so that they can make a profit ! With the UK tax payer supporting them massively, which is all bonkers if you ask me - if services are essential then the nation should own and control them just like the current energy sector debacle

Also, I thought they produced figures that massively failed P&S rules but have tried to pass off the excessive losses with crazy covid concessions?
Have they got away with it or am I talking rubbish?

Indy reacted to Ambitious in New signings, who will be first...and next?
Sibley was the best player I’ve seen for Derby’s academy and was consistent game-in, game-out. No surprise when he flew into the first team under Cocu.
He, like Bird and Knight, took a step backwards under Rooney.
I have absolutely no doubt the player with the highest ceiling and most ability in this Derby team is Louie Sibley. I also know that if given an opportunity in a good team, set up with good coaching that he will be a player that becomes an historic regret for this football club.
He needs more game time and should be allowed more game time. If we are getting rid, I’d rather it be on loan like Djed Spence so we can get £20m instead of £2m.

Alright Rams, Guiseley (who?) fan here in peace.
I came to the Oxford game on Saturday with my mate (Wolves fan).
It was our first trip to Pride Park between us and usually we pick a random game every so often. So we ended up at your place.
We had a great time, your stadium is fantastic. Plenty of eateries around the ground too. The fans we were sat near were passionate and it was infectious. We were in the North Stand which was family orientated but it was nice to see so many youngsters getting behind the team.
The atmosphere was great, the bounce by the south stand was something I won't forget. Capped with a great goal to get the win aswell.
Only downside being, we parked at the industrial park past the south stand and we didn't move for about an hour after the final whistle. But that didn't spoil a great day out.
All the best for the season, will be looking out for your results and will likely come back later in the season too.

There's 3 or 4 different versions all being sung at once ? I don't know why people haven't just changed the "staying up" to "going up" and the chant is otherwise exactly what it already was?! ?♂️

I had some time to kill this morning and this whole RamsTrust situation has annoyed me. According to the RamsTrust website under 'Governance' they are FSA members. With that in mind I have sent this correspondence to the FSA. I might just be shouting in to the void, but at least I feel like I've tried.
"Hi,
I hope this correspondence finds you well.
I (and many other Derby County fans) have serious concerns around the RamsTrust supporters group associated with Derby County. The RamsTrust are FSA members, however, I am unsure if raising the governance concerns with regards to the trust in this way is valid or within the remit of the FSA to assist. Any advice would be appreciated.
Since Derby County exited administration they have been unable to offer a direct debit instalment facility to help fans purchase season tickets. The reasons for this have been clearly communicated by the club and a system has been put in place by the club to mitigate the issue. Despite this, the RamsTrust felt it appropriate to suggest that fans take out a high interest loan via a local credit union to cover the cost of season tickets. It also turns out that board members of the RamsTrust may have links to the credit union they referenced.
The tweet in question can be found here: https://twitter.com/RamsTrust/status/1549724373975695360?s=20&t=Kntdhq0gfjcJ7SiaLN_7rA
In addition to this poor advice that may result in fans putting themselves in debt in the midst of a cost of living crisis, RamsTrust have been blocking twitter users that have been highlighting both the poor nature of this advice and the supposed links between the RamsTrust board members and the credit union in question.
In my mind this raises significant concerns with regards to a conflict of interest should these claims be accurate and suggests that the board of the RamsTrust may not be fit for purpose.
As the RamsTrust are FSA members, is it within the remit of the FSA to review this issue and seek a satisfactory explanation from the RamsTrust and if required, consider their position as FSA members?
Best regards,"

If he was behind all the signings lately which most seem to approve of, then this is dissapointing

On a slightly different but related issue........Did I read that season ticket holders seats are available for renewal up to 29th July? If that is correct and lets say 2,000 dont renew then those seasts are not likely to get sold for the first match on 30th July. Have I got that wrong?

The 657 did a Recky early on in the day, Wow did they c*** up, They thought it would be a walk in the park, Every West Indian came out with Swords, Bats, Knives and to quote one Norwegian commentator "you took one hell of a beating" Once the 657 were despatched the local community carried on with the mayhem and made a mess of Normanton.

Let's hope so. As stated many times on here, the TUPE regulations relate to employment contacts not football governed player registrations.
The registrations should not be transferred until compensation is received.
