Abu Derby reacted to Eddie in Away tickets 23/24
I will.
I had a run-in with one of our 'fans' a few years ago at Birmingham - I remonstrated with him for throwing a pint of beer over me on the concourse - he then assaulted me and threatened my wife.
I've never been to another away game from that day forth, basically because we have a number of thugs who label themselves 'supporters' - and an awful lot of people who turn the other way because they "won't be criticising people...".

I don't fear them regretting it - I absolutely relish the idea.......

Abu Derby reacted to IslandExile in Warne: what would it take?
The question ought to be:
"Warne what would it take for you to honourably resign?"

Abu Derby got a reaction from jimtastic56 in You might not realise it but Paul Warne's doing pretty well
I agree that he is doing ok. I said before our first defeat that we’d be unbeaten for the remainder of the season and I see no reason to change my mind.

A Derby County Immortal. A brilliant man who will never be forgotten. A brilliant eye coupled with a huge football brain and the driest of humour.
Up there with Clough.

Have you ever thought that might be because Waghorn and Sibley never get to take set pieces in a match situation? They are long out of practice.
Sibley has reliably taken excellent set pieces for Derby since junior level.
But his touch is sadly absent with no pre-season and very few match minutes so far this season. He'll be discarded again well before he gets time to build up match fitness. Get yourself a Club who loves you, Louie, look what it's done for Morgan Whittaker!
Waghorn is better with central set pieces but I remember him taking them all for Ipswich back in the day and looking lethal. Is it age or lack of practice that has caught up with him?

Abu Derby reacted to angieram in Derby v Cambridge Match Thread
No, because he should have laid it off to Barhuizen instead of keep running with it, then it would have been.
My left ear is still ringing from my other half yelling at him repeatedly to do exactly that.
It makes you wonder what goes on in footballers' minds at times!

Abu Derby reacted to SK47 in I Feel As Fans, A Lot Of Us Have It Wrong.
After watching Paul Warnes Cambridge interview regarding the Josh Vicars situation, I can't help but feel we have it wrong about what we value in a manager.
I understand football is about results and success, but sometimes, seeing a managers humility and connection as a humanbeing with the players, especially at times of trauma, beats the lot for me.
I've been critical of Warne, as have a lot of us, but I would love nothing more than for Warne to get us promoted. I know his "let's be mates" mentality can be a bit cringe, and his 352 does your head in, but you can tell he really cares about those around him, and I would much rather be in the trenches with a man like Warne than someone coming here for a quick cheque.
I'm crossing everything that things go right on the pitch, but regardless of that, I just wanna commend him for the person he is.
Salute to you Mr Warne.

I'm a bit surprised there are no comments on Cash's interview. I thought he spoke really well about their support for Josh Vickers.
That's a lot of responsibility on a young player to come out and articulate how difficult it has been for the players.
He is future captain material, without a doubt.

Abu Derby reacted to Malty in On this day ….
…. 5 years ago we beat Man U 8-7 on penalties to progress to the next round of the league cup.
It’s always worth remembering beating Man U.
Just saying.

Abu Derby reacted to Caerphilly Ram in Josh Vickers
Very sad news for Josh and his family, the support from his colleagues will be needed at a difficult time like this, sometimes there’s more to life than football. 😔
Perhaps something could be arranged by fans to show support at the home game? Applause at the 31st min or something?

Abu Derby reacted to Day in Ed Dawes
Whilst we bash away, mostly anonymously behind the keyboard, just go take a second to see what Josh Vickers is going through right now, Ed, just like us all is a real person.
Regardless of how you feel about him as a person or his commentary style there is absolutely no need for personal stuff towards a fellow Derby fan.
Seriously, come on, have a word with yourselves.
