1of4 reacted to Archied in Climate Change & COP26
I wouldn’t waste your money on hybrid,, they’re next out??♂️
if you think climate change is beyond politics then you are a fool , if and when climate change and unsustainable growth on a fixed size planet are ever REALLY attempted to be addressed politics will have to be involved and changed

It's further that I would like here. But I fully understand why they're feeling the pressure to act. They need to reduce the R number as its running riot at the moment. Vaccinating everyone has to be done hand in hand with reducing the R number to a manageable level.
It's a lockdown like we had a couple of times in this country. We have more tools now - mainly a vaccine that reduces transmission and reduces the severity for anyone who catches it. Without the vaccine I presume Austria would be back into full lockdown. Thankfully there is no need to affect the economy so much because there is a vaccine.
You've previously pointed the finger at home workers and furloughed workers, saying that they prefer to sit at home and let other people do all the work. I presume I can point the finger back and say the same about them? They could just go and get the vaccine, like millions of people have done, and help restrict the spread of a virus that's killing a lot of our senior citizens.

Now.
But if want to use figures from the start of the pandemic when the city of New York was the epicentre of the pandemic in the USA. When the Trump government denied the dangers of covid while giving little help to NY. Go for it, use those figures in trying to make a point about mask wearing.
Maybe you'd like to put up the figures on the number of transmission that occurred across the states after Florida allowed thousands of college students to have spring break in its state without the need to wear masks.

This would be great news, if it means that all coronaviruses could be eradicated.
I just wonder what BS reason people would come up with, as to why they wouldn't get vaccinated.

1of4 reacted to G STAR RAM in Derby finally accept 21 point deduction.
Its not splitting hairs at all.
The EFL seem to want to agree a point deduction despite charging us with nothing.
Their preferred route seems to be bypassing any hearing from and independent body and right to appeal.
They are riding roughshod over their own rules basically.

Nothing wrong with cheese and a rich fruit cake, it's a great combination.
But salad cream with anything is a big no. Ever since being sick after I was forced to eat this vile stuff at school, means just the smell of it, is enough to turn my stomach.

1of4 got a reaction from Andrew3000 in Derby - city of Culture 2025?
Derby as always be dying on it's ass. Over time our city fathers have managed to demolish most of the city's historical buildings, while managing to replacing them with eyesores and buildings not fit for purpose.
Whenever any new project is announced, the plans put forward look exciting but what we usually end up with is a cut back version of the original concept due to budget constraints.

Glad you've been having fun while many others have been concerned about their own and their family's health.

1of4 reacted to Gerry Daly in Millwall (A) Matchday Thread
We are better in midfield without Morrison. The problem with Morrison apart from him not releasing the ball is that he doesn’t work hard enough and drops into the back 4 to get the ball. People the blame Bird but all he is doing is playing where he has been told to play

Drop Morrison and we’ll be a different team.

When the 12 point deduction was announced, the fans rallied behind the team. The team put in some sterling performances, hopes were high that we would overcome the the penalty imposed by the EFL and the club would avoid relegation. But due to the last few performances that initial positivity appears to be slowly ebbing away.
So unless something dramatic happens over the next few games. The rest of the season is going to fell very long and very demoralizing for both the players and the fans.

Never mind 99p in the pound, a bid of 99p is looking a little generous.

Are we as a team not good enough to avoid relegation. Or have some of our players already thrown the towel in?
After hearing Curtis Davies comments after the Blackburn game, it's looking like its the latter.
