RIMBAUD reacted to May Contain Nuts in East Stand
I might post my useless observations as someone who sits in that area but doesn't really look around him that much on this tomorrow.
I would say that when you say 'Ive heard stories' they're probably stories from people who feel aggrieved at something more perceived than realised, who are making a little thing out to be a massive thing.
But also I'm biased as I think people who are obsessed with the idea that they can't add to an atmosphere unless they're standing are usually complete dickwads who think giving opposition fans abuse is more important than supporting their own team.

I’ve spent all day at work and she’s still told me to bugger off to the football. Do you think I should be worried?

There have been games of football played this season but at times DM seems to have been playing something quite different.
A joy to watch.

And hit an incredible cross field pass in the first half that led to fantastic move. Had his best game for us last night imo.

RIMBAUD reacted to Old Spalding Ram in January Window
I can’t believe some of the stuff on here lately!
Whats kept this club going over the last eighteen months has been the relationship between the supporters the different management teams and the encouragement towards players, the all in this together, never give up, fight to the end attitude that has served us well.
Unfortunately it seems that losing to a Premier League club who had 200 million quids worth of talent sat on the bench seems to have resurrected that rarest of beasts over the last few months………….the scapegoat.
Considering that just six months back we were on the verge of handing the club to Kirchner, had five players under contract and no pre season the results and performances so far are remarkable.
Personally I will not be criticising the present management, previous managers or any player who’s working their socks off to improve our position and decided to stay or sign for this club in extraordinary times.

Just watched the highlights the tackle on dobbin should have been a pen and a red even though he got the shot off terrible challenge

We were right behind the goal, 3 rows back. It was absolutely mental when we got the winner, random blokes hugging and jumping on each other. I haven’t embraced that many strange men since that party round Michael Barrymore’s

This has nothing to do with Warne-Ball. This has to do with the poor quality of the players on the pitch. Derby should easily have two or three goals at this point. They are simply not finishing. This one is purely on the player's shoulders.

RIMBAUD reacted to Millenniumram in Curtis Davies
Curtis Davies is a true modern day Derby legend in my book - his heroics risking his career against Sheffield Wednesday, and then standing by the club throughout all the mess last season, cemented his place in our history. This is his home, and he’ll always be welcome back here in my opinion.
That said, I can understand if both parties decided, with a heavy heart, he can move on. He’s battling to be emergency backup centre back now really, so is only likely to play when injuries hit. It’s not unreasonable that he may want to play more football in what may be his final season in football. We’ve still got Chester, Cashin, Roberts, Stearman, Rooney and Forsyth who can also play there. It’s not like we’re short on numbers at CB.

Smiths experience and positional sense has also been crucial in this run. I can see why warne wanted him at Rotherham

I confess I was nervous before the game. They had been on a good run, had a tight defence and, bar the shouting our equals in the ranking stakes. Then you know they have skilled bruisers in attack, Cash injured and Curtis not match sharp. It was going to be tough. A real test.
I was wrong. By dint of 100% effort and faultless concentration we walked it. Oh yes they gave us a game and one slip could have cost us but we didn’t slip, or if we did they weren’t good enough to capitalise or we had the fire to put it right. It was a very entertaining game of footy. A brief period of head tennis in the second half and some nervy moments but we were a well oiled machine.
I like Warne Ball. Pacy wide men crossing the ball, A raider for a 10 in Knighty. String pullers like Bird and Connor and gutsy defenders.
As for them, Big front man looked scary but never cleared his carburettors because we stopped him and their 10 who was a real worker, ran his goodies off all game. Their 15 was a diving, tugging mardy thug. They had (past tense ) a tight defence .. why ? Barks and NML had their wing backs on toast. They looked cumbersome to me.
We played as a team, the spirit and camaraderie is there for all to see. We earned those points big time.
And then there’s that man Knight. Pure 24 ct Gold. If you could launch a battery company that had Knight Power, Tesla and Duracell would be out of business in the blink of an eye.

Stop talking about John Harkes. He was utterly dreadful. I hate thinking about him. Let us not do such things again. ☹️

He has been incredible. He has made it look easy.
Having Cashin attacking the ball is a real boon though.

There's one glaring omission there, Fozzy is ahead of them all in my opinion, atm. Another superb performance from him yesterday, in his tenth year at the club, having come back from 3 ACL injuries.
