I’ve read a few times that Washington looked lively.

I thought he looked lazy. He and NML regularly failed to close down defenders and created very little. Even when Wash got the dream chance, he fluffed it.

I thought he was our weakest player.

Everyone else deserved 7 or higher except perhaps NML who still looks like he’s struggling for fitness.

I wouldn’t say he looked lazy. More like someone coming back from injury.

Excellent 3 points considering how many players we are missing

Wildsmith made some excellent saves whilst Nelson Forsyth and Cashin were very decent which highlights what we lacked up front

    Real shame about Gayle injury

Can we please find someone to take free kicks and stop Our goalkeeper from being half a pitch away from his net with every other player on the pitch only 30 yards away from him because it’s far too risky and unnecessary

Nice corner from Elder as well and Bolton will be disappointed that a tiny player gets a winning header but I wasn’t but we were poor overall and a touch fortunate to get 3 vital points

Have you stood next to Wilson. He isn’t tiny. But he is one of favourite people atm

At this level, he's ok but no more than that. Obviously he's scored a few of late and to be fair, is doing a decent job but let's not get over-excited - he misses plenty and can't win headers for toffee due to awful positioning and anticipation.

He prob will get 20 this season but he's playing plenty of games in a team challenging for the title (albeit with room for improvement) - I think I'd get 10 in this side with the chances we're creating.

I'm not slating the lad - just being realistic. He's a bog standard forward who misses quite a few and only gets the odd unexpected goal (e.g. the finish about is excellent).

He had one chance on Saturday. And buried it.

I think it’s backfired us not playing some more youngsters now in this competition. We’ve learnt nowt from playing our first team players and now don’t have a final to fall back on. This was an ideal time to sound out the Weston’s, Robinsons, Browns and Fapetu.
The league was always the priority, but a final would’ve been nice. This was an ideal opportunity wasted to give some U18s/23s a go.

I think we learnt quite a bit tonight. And some large part of it gives grounds for concern.

i agree that we should probably have played some of the youngsters.

Exactly.  What a shame Washington and Waghorn weren't on six month loan spells. Will either of them get back to full fitness this season?

Waggy has at least given us some goals early doors, and he's a good option off the bench when we need to hold the ball up, but Washington hasn't really offered us anything this season.

I thought Washington was starting to look quite useful with a couple of goals in the home games against Exeter and Northampton.

    Then he got injured.

It's hard to dominate in a 2 with hourihane against 3 athletic CMs.

But not every team sets up like that.  He’s been ok this season. But he’s been no better than that.

He’s a good bloke but I had hoped he was going to be better this season. If he stays I hope he does come good.

  7. I’d sell him. Didn’t think he was that great in the last home game either. The issue is if we can get a better player to replace him…

Peterborough aren’t the only team to run through our midfield.

I like bird but I don’t think he is dominating games as I hoped he would.
