Couldn't disagree more. Rooney turned a relegation bound side (20/21) into a mistable side under some of the tightest transfer restrictions the Championship has ever seen - max wages equivalent to the average in L1! I have no doubt we would have been top 6 if we weren't under embargo.
In League 1, without restrictions being as tight as the were this season, Rooney will build a very good side next season. This squad have so much faith in Rooney, if he tells them we'll be playing in the PL after two more seasons they will believe him.

God help them if they're ever in our position, most of them would have to be sectioned.

Largely irrelevant, because of the actions of MM on this the clubs now valued beyond what any league one club is worth and probably what most championship clubs are worth.
How is derby with as little as it currently has to offer, valued at 60 to 70 million.

Exactly. I don't want to hear all this pony about what about our fanbase and support and revenue in League 1 as assets etc they're business people. What do they get for their money - a few players and the club name and the exciting opportunity to pay off Morris' debts. Bargain.

This is 100% correct. To a potential purchaser the club is worth next to nothing if the stadium is not included. If the stadium is included they have a substantial asset to offset against the massive losses they have to pay the creditors.

If a bidders offered £30 mil for the club including the stadium, why would they still pay £30 mil for the club without the stadium just because the council own it? 
 
If I was a bidder I’d either walk away or reduce my bid accordingly to reflect the assets they are purchasing, namely a 5 a side team.
The debts far outweigh the current assets sadly. Mel either needs to pull his finger out or Q need to seriously call his bluff and start seriously mentioning liquidation

Whilst I can see the Council getting on board with the stadium ownership, I really can’t see it would be of any interest to a PB. I would have thought any PB interested in finessing a deal now would want the bricks and mortar in their ownership. Otherwise they are paying a large sum of money for fresh air.

What if council buy the stadium but the bidders don’t follow through and we end up being liquidated. The council have wasted  their cash unless they can find other sources of  income from  it

If nothing else it might push potential buyers in to action because I am sure they would all want to own the ground…Ashley especially ?
