Underwhelmed

Part of me hopes we don’t sign all these triallists. We’ve spent ages being unable to get rid of deadwood due to the impact on finances, so why make whopping losses after finally having to bite the bullet only to be lumped with someone else’s deadwood? It’s another manager - and owner’s - problem further down the line. 
I’d rather just start again with the kids, even if it ruins this season and we go down. Wait until we have funds to sign players we actually want. Scraping the bottom of the barrel for what’s left is just delaying the inevitable.

If Rowett hadn't been pretty much hounded out of the club I reckon there is a good chance we would be a Premier League club by now.

Not a big loss though - like you a fair way travel to a home game - I try to make one a season and Bristol City away.
It is not just covid and lock-down though - it is all the other stuff too - probably starting with the Lawrence, Bennett and Keogh incident.
I also feel I got on the Lampard bubble which made the fall even harder.
We will see - I am aware of 4 live TV games by 10/09/21 - I have made a mental note to self to try not to watch 2 of them cos it usually hurts too much - but I think I will inevitably fail.
I guess it is a similar thing to cold turkey though

Another thing I love about this story is Wayne's insistence that he was somehow tricked. Did they tell him they had a 12 pack of sausage rolls in their hotel room?

I think there is a perfect storm of stuff that is contributing to me losing virtually all interest in the Rams, a club I have supported since 1967.
In no particular order:
On the pitch: Playing low entertainment football, no real crowd pleaser, low goals rate. Cobbled together team of old men and kids without a clear policy.
Off the pitch: Total shambles of an organisation, apparently in conflict with people who can really hurt you, HMRC EFL. Owner who has gone silent. The car crash fallout really showed the club up in a terrible light in so many ways.
Match scheduling: Its great to have footy available almost every night on TV but as a live football fan I want 3:00 on a Saturday. Mid week and oddball times really irritate me, particularly sitting freezing on a mid week winter game . Result I'lll stay at home and watch good football in the warm (heresy I know, but it is what it is).
Price: Saving on two tickets, car park etc easily covers Sky, BT Sport, Amazon Prime subscriptions with left overs for a few decent bottles of Scotch. 
CoVid showed how quick you can find other stuff to do on match days.
Hard fans will say there reasons for each of the above issues, but it's a bit like the old Chinese Water torture (other nations are available), the cumulative effect gets to you. AND IT HAS.

The signings of Bielik and Jozwiak are exactly the right sort we should be looking at in the future. They are exactly the right profile, young, good potential, right attitude to improve, high resale value, internationals. This is what we should have been doing 6 years ago.

My pet hate resurfaces. Sibbo (currently playing on the right) nicks the ball and wins a freekick 10 yards inside the opposition half. It's a decent attacking opportunity with 5 minutes to go. Instead of attacking, the freekick is passed backwards 30 yards and we end up losing the ball. It makes you want to bang your head against a wall.

Well, one of the main instigators of the joiners shambles who has no visible leadership qualities is now club captain... When the going gets tough, do I honestly think Tom will be the man to rally the troops, be vocal and drag us through? The answer is no. Wrong decision for me this, I don't think he is captain material. Hope he proves me wrong.
