Spanish reacted to G STAR RAM in The Price of Football Podcast - Derby County in Administration
So MSD do not own the ground.
How do you know Gellaw are in default on their loan repayments?

No, just enough to pay the tax bill and the loans he took on so we can have a ground to play in. He can sell the ground back to a new investor at 4 million a year for the next 15 years if he likes. Or he can look for someone to pay his bills, not get it and be the man who destroyed a founder member of the football league. If the club didn't have debt to carry it would have been sold 12 months ago. EFL or not. Probably to a decent investor as well, rather than 50p millionaires who have come and gone.

Move on, new owners won't like this, make lots of noise, make news with loyalty not by venting your spleen

Spanish got a reaction from Woodley Ram in Derby County Administration (with the slight possibility of Liquidation still there)
he quoted it as a single year, not sure whether we can read into that anything at all

Spanish reacted to Crewton in Derby County Administration (with the slight possibility of Liquidation still there)
I'm finding it hard to believe that the club's payroll is "still" £30m p.a, given that the most expensive element, the first team squad has 23 players, and half of those are on £4,500 per week or less.
The Athletic are usually pretty reliable, but that figure doesn't support the club's claim of "a viable business model" emerging.
If it's true, I'd love to know how it's made up, but it's going to be carnage when an Administrator is appointed.

In a nutshell yes totally

the analogy is very dramatic and probably one I will regret, but threatening admin in these circumstances is a like a writing a suicide note whilst standing in the middle of the M1. It is a humongous gamble that someone will read it and save you

Spanish reacted to Bob The Badger in My admiration for Rooney has shot up
We didn't get any more points because it was the last game of the season, we still got one.
And Rotherham didn't get any less because they conceded with two minutes to go, they still got one too.
It's utterly absurd to say we stayed up because of one piece of luck when there will have been times when bad luck cost us points throughout the season just like it did Rotherham.
We stayed up, Rooney was in charge, ipso facto, Rooney kept us up. Argument over.

You’d have thought so wouldn’t you?
But I’m fairly sure I remember the disciplinary committee saying that we could not provide any evidence - no minutes, or formulas, or research.

Spanish got a reaction from r_wilcockson in Mel put us in Administration because......
to attempt an answer to the question.
Showing an intent to enter admin gives protection from creditors for 2 weeks or so. During that time it is in the best interest of a buyer to try and get a deal done because it is the only thing that can be done to avoid a 12 point penalty. You've still got all the P&S to face but they have been prompted to move quickly rather than wait for what they may perceive as the best time

you have a dream, good for you.
My view is that we are not Rangers (one of the top 2 teams in Scotland), this is not Scotland there are far more leagues to navigate, this is not Scotland the competition is far more fierce, Derby is not Glasgow
