    I hate this question.
Let's be honest, no, and I don't want to be ungrateful here, I'm fully aware of how lucky we are to still have the club.
It's nice to be watching Derby win and at the right end of the table, that's all you really want as a fan.....but this is the 3rd tier of English football.
Without sounding arrogant, we're not a 3rd tier club.
I get the novelty factor of new clubs, grounds, even worse refereeing, however we've lost a genuine competitive rivalry as they continue to assemble a £100m+ squad.
In one season a huge gulf has been created and even if they go down, it will take several years before it will even start to level out.
I hate League 1 and being so far away from the PL.

I think priority should be given to those fans that only come out for big games like Liverpool away, only fair really.

We get 45% of the revenue once all costs are deducted.
I've always wondered if this includes the Hospitality as that must bring in around 250k plus for a one off game for a club like Liverpool.
This should easily be a 500k pay day for Derby. What super news.

Wildsmith 6 Can only remember 1 shot to save.
    Knight 7.5 Should've scored with a header
    Stearman 7 should've scored with a header
Cashin 7.5 two stray passes; some lovely Bucko-esque cross-field passes to NML
Forsyth 7.5 Some good crosses in
    Bird 7.5 Good shift
Hourihane 6 Need more end product
Mendez-Laing 8 motm High energy & constant threat
Barkhuizen 5.5 Need more end product
Collins 7 Doing lots of work but feeding off very little
Dobbin 6.5 Bright early on took a knock and faded
    Subs from:
Sibley 8 Made a difference off the bench; unlucky with shots/crosses
McGoldrick 6.5 Getting up to speed still.
Our lack of goals is now starting to look structural not just bad luck. This team starting to look Cocu-esque.

How can you criticise a manager when you create so many chances away?
    Two clean sheets away.
    LR can’t shoot for them.
Five different forwards. Same lack of killer instinct, allied with some robust defending from the home side.
Win at home, draw away and you won’t go far wrong.

    To remind u
“cocu ball is NOT pep ball”
City are a joy to watch, they press hard, they hunt it packs, they retain and smother possession of the ball and when they attack,  they do so with purpose and craft
Helps having world class players but their style is a far cry from cocus pass the ball backwards and sideways to allow the opposition all the time in the world to regroup and set themselves. Never comitting anyone into the box, opting to pass back to the full back who will in turn go bs to the dc instead of fizzing a ball in or daring to take a player on edge of the box.
City move teams about. Cocus football was tempoless and quite frankly soul destroying
as u say guardiola did actually develope his style under cruyff but pep evolved it to fit the modern game and took it to a whole new level
the styles whilst have similarities are actually poles apart

People used to slag him off, but Conor Sammon was the perfect sub during that 2013/14 side to just come on and push his weight around. His presence unsettled defences, despite being a poor footballer with the ball at his feet.
Andy Carroll is a good shout actually.

I recall Steve McClaren's swashbuckling teams of 2013-15 and 16/17 struggling to break down teams who sat in and played on the break/direct/long ball etc, and losing a number of games 1-0. People used to moan about "no Plan B" at a time when we were playing some of the best football at Derby since the Jim Smith peak years. We couldn't solve the problem then, and now after 4 games and working under an EFL business plan, folk (not on here) are screaming for the head of a manager 4 games into his career because he hasn't solved it yet while he's trying to rebuild the playing side of the club. And we're 7th. I f'kin' give up with some of our fans.

    Just got back.
Massively frustrating game and it was one of those games that I was worried about in League One. When a team comes and parks the bus we don't seem to have a clue how to break them down and with the players we had out there we should have been able to.
The tactic was just side to side, didn't really move the ball with any speed which made it so easy for them to defend and close of the space. Everything Infront of the Shrewsbury back 4.
A few times we had chances to break, but the pass that would have set is away was poor. Hourihane, Collins and Mcgoldrick all guilty of that.
Knight at right back is not working. It took until the last minute for him to overlap and drive into the box. When Dobbin came on he kept making the runs but instead of putting a ball over the top for him to run on to, Knight checked back and passed it to Stearman.
We never once tried to play through the middle. I'm not really sure what we're doing with the midfield really. Our tactic was to get it out wide and that was it, when it didn't work one side, we'd pass back to Stearman/Cashin and then try again on the other side and all Shrewsbury did was run side to side. Too easy for them.
Barkhuizen maybe could have done better with his chance, the keeper did close the angle down well. Stearman should score that header and Sibley had a decent chance. But in the end we were lucky they didn't take that big chance at the end.
We need 3 more as a minimum really. A right back is an absolute must. To not sign one would be absolutely ridiculous on the basis that Knight "can do a job there" It's borderline ridiculous we haven't got one in yet cos we would have known Byrne was going ages ago.
We need something different in midfield, another centre forward and a winger for me.
Highly doubt we will get all of them, probably only bring in a couple more.
The early signs are positive, we should be sat here with 4 wins out of 4 and when teams like this come to Pride Park we'll run riot. It's a brand new group, which are 2 weeks behind everyone else who will get fitter and better the more they play.
    Up The Rams

I think for me the worry isn't the players or the time they will take to gel. It's the way they're being asked to play. A lot of the frustrating things from the last few years are very evident in this newly assembled squad already.
The insistence on playing out from the back, the daft goal kick, allowing teams to reshape before we go on the attack, only taking risks in our own half, playing without midfield runners leading to an isolated front man, conservativism in our play right to the last minute...to name just a few.
I'll back the team and I wish Liam all the luck in the world, but I hope this isn't the plan.

Also, that last 20 minutes will have done us more good than harm.

Let’s go and follow that up with a win on Tuesday away from home. We can go from strength to strength but we need to do it as a club, players and supporters.
