Carlisle at home, we had won the league, in the Normanton lower, I was 15. 0-0, all on the pitch. It was going to be relaid so I took a piece from the centre circle. Went to school on the Monday and persuaded my teacher help me preserve it. 50 years later and despite me living all over the world I've still got it. Magical times.

Just for one night can we ditch Paul warnes barmy army that only half of us sing anyway and replace it with B4s barmy army who predicted this even when the wrist slashers were out in full force. It would be great for his family to hear, either his dad who will be there or his sister on the telly

One of a few frustrations I have is that not for the first time this year we play the first twenty minutes as if it were a pre season friendly and I have to point the finger at the mgt three as well as the seasoned pros. Is it complacency or arrogance, I don't know but it's a frequent occurrence

You may have been following the discussion on the season ticket thread.
Now that Daniel's seat is secured for his sister, can we fundraise instead for a flag for B4 as a permanent memorial and reminder of his presence at the stadium.
Maybe @David could help with the fundraising and we could ask Simon Penney to help with the flag, or someone else if anyone knows anybody?
What do people think?

Spot on with your comments and what i look at every game is how many players of the opposition would get in to our starting 11,last night you would argue zero, perhaps Alfie May although he was only a sub for them.
Alfie May and Connor Coventry would get into our first team. I thought Coventry was motm because we allowed him to play. He dictated the game the way we hope Max bird should

I thought "came for a point" summed them up perfectly until we scored, and even after that it was the second half before they even managed to string two passes together. Their "kick it 60 feet in the air and let's pretend we're the Pontypool Front Row" tactics helped to make it an appalling game of football and we failed to get the ball on the ground and play around them. Make no mistake though - we handed them that game through poor substitutions and individual errors.
As a separate observation about Charlton, I'd like to know how a club that signed around a dozen players in January, some for fees, and did similar in the summer, and sacked their manager, can hope to pass FFP checks?
We both saw the same game differently which is fine, I just thought they played better on the ground passing football than us and deserved to win, we didn't

We were out footballed by a team fighting for their lives but didn't park the bus and kept passing the ball and outmanaged by Nathan Jones who is like an annoying ant but never stopped cajoling his team, driving them forwards, compare that with Warne who was barely visible. I know that this is part of supporting Derby, something I have been doing since 1967, but for the life of me I still don't understand last nights subs. Port vale will not be lying down on Saturday so I hope Paul and his mates have a plan......

Because if our knuckleheads do decide to boo, then the rest of us who are pleased for someone getting a promotion and pay rise, who didn't walk away like others in administration , is one of our own and is going to a club that believes in using the midfield to pass each other, unlike our current manager, should cheer him even louder , good luck Max, I hope you get the chance to shine

Just back from the game and my observations, this was not the Lincoln side that came to pride park, they had players back from injury and were benefitting from the now settled in managers homework on us and his game plan. It will probably prove to be a hard earned point at the end of the season. At the end, their fans, who I thought created a great atmosphere with their non stop singing akin to the ultras, would be happier with the signs of improvement than ours with our frustrations. Finally, best pre match food court offering of the season so far, slightly better than the dancing cod at Fleetwood. On to Reading, tennis racket in hand

I'm sorry g-ram,if it is not the head coach and his coaching teams responsibility to ensure the team is fully wound up and ready from the first minute of a football match , then whose is it
-
If he decides to go, well good luck to him, he's been a joy watch over the years and he may just want to be coached by a forward thinking, progressive coach to help him improve even more, because he certainly wouldn't be getting that here. In most jobs,if the opportunity comes to move up the greasy pole then it's generally taken, why on earth should Max bird be any different. Good luck Max
-
Thanks for confirming my point
-
My opinion for what it's worth is Max needs to leave us to become a better footballer,he has the attributes but I can't think of one youngster who has improved under the current manager and his coaches
-
Retuning Ram, completely agree with you re the physio comment, same near me, just ignorance,, maybe those calling for her head can explain to me which booking was wrong , which penalty was wrong, she kept up with play unlike most of the males we get here. I wish her well, but she was not to blame for our appalling inability to see a game out yet again which is why Warne had no complaints about her because he knows where the blame lies

Anyone who would like a ticket for tomorrow, let me know and I'll mail mine over,no charge, just suddenly can't make it

For the sanctimonious amongst us, my first match was in 1967, I have seen all sorts in that time and I have never booed. I have however had a company with 1200 employees and can tell if someone is getting the absolute best of the talent and resources available to them, so no I would not have a different conversation face to face no matter what management theories you spout, because I have lived it not just read about it. See you at Stevenage
-
My son and I travel home and away at great expense to support this team. I am not and never will be 'outside noise ' . You should be grateful we care enough to have an opinion of your hopeless coaching ability, trying to play a style that was fit for the 80s. Never take this club nor the supporters for granted whilst you leach off our backs getting very well paid for a substandard job
