Free Agent Strikers

We have quick uns like Yates and Jackson, we know what Collo brings and Daj needs bringing on. If we do go for a free agent striker, he'd need to be of the type we don't currently have and that would be a striker similar to Bristol City's Armstrong. Not that he's available but that type.

We won't be signing any free agents (at least until January) due to having a full squad - we can't make any changes outside of the window once registered, except for when we have vacant squad places (we don't)

Straight in to Head & Shoulders ad with this statement

Could we take a punt on a u21 centre forward released by a Premier League club or any club for that matter?

Good U21 free agents are very hard to find at this point in time - I doubt any would be an improvement on our 25 man squad, and few would even improve our U21 side. I wouldn't bother signing any of them.

The best options who're available being:

Marvin De Lima - Released from Bordeaux after making a few appearances last season mostly at LB but a couple also at RW. Potential to be a decent Championship LWB.

Youns El Hilali - can play anywhere across the front 4 and had a pretty good record in AC Milan's academy, scoring 13 and assisting 3 in 22/23 for their U19 side. Last season, he struggled on loan at an Italian 3rd divisions side, then saw a small improvement at a Dutch 2nd division side.

Obviously they're not going tobe good u21s, otherwise they wouldn't have been let go. But, there are countless occasions of players being released  from top clubs at a young age, only to be rediscovered and make a great career, Jamie Vardy being released by Sheff Wed being a famous one. I wouldn't mind betting that at least one youngster released this summer will come back and make good. Set against that is that they would be Championship ready this season, but who knows, as Peterborough seem to pick up players that hit the ground running?

Aaron Connolly ??

Lot’s of previous of previous off-field problems but he might find his place at Derby a la NML…

Yes, bit of a gamble but might also be a masterstroke in this division.:;

We cannot bring any players in now as our 25 man squad is full
