Noted thanks. It's not necessarily about the window, more so the length of preseason, getting bedded in squad. Being in Spain this week is a big part of it. Understandably in some instances(loans) won't be around till later on in the window.

The one position we can leave relatively late is keeper, as other than sharpness and communication, pre-season isn't crazy important. Of course, the longer they have to get settled and comfortable the better, but they're relatively plug and play.

Different note, but how cool is it to be linked with exciting players with international and European experience? We've not been linked with Gregory, Sharpe OR Martin Smith so far! Refreshing!

Ooooohhhh, Martin. What's Chrissie up to these days? 🥷

Swedish Allsvenskan is not a great level of football these days. The best young talent in the country is gone by the age of 15 to other european leagues…

Playing for the national team here is no great shakes either compared to days gone by.
One or two good players from Sweden like the lad Isaksson at Newcastle but its a very poor version of yesteryear sadly

Surely Sebastian Nanasi is highly regarded? I also imagine he's way out of our price range.

Opta think his current team are about the same standard as Championship top 6 side.  The league as a whole may well be different though with some much weaker sides.

I would disagree with your assessment of how early or late a new keeper an arrive for pre season. Getting the required level of fitness building relationships with all the defenders communication and understanding the style of play and the keepers role in that are absolutely critical to their success.

So they are anything but plug and play

I used to play defence or midfield at a pretty decent level and a new keeper was a nightmare.  That being said it was two training sessions a week, not 5.  However, if we haven't given a  goalie at least 3 proper pre season games and a few weeks of proper training, it's a concern.  I anticipate they'll be far more active than Wildsmith has been over the last couple of years as well.  We can't be chucking points away with errors.

Big fan of you just assuming Alexander Isak’s name was Isaksson 😂

I can second the comment about the Swedish league being poor. The best teams would probably finish bottom half of the championship. I would fancy us to beat the majority comfortably.
