Joe Ward - picked up a knock to his knee against Portsmouth and will be assessed again before the Wycombe game.

Max Bird - Calf injury, stepped up training and could play against Wycombe.

Dwight Gayle - Hamstring injury, could be back before season ends.

Craig Forsyth - Calf injury, stepping up recovery and could be involved before the season ends

Tom Barkhuizen - Calf injury, like Bird he is pushing to be involved against Wycombe, will be assessed.

Callum Elder - Groin injury, dunno how long he’s meant to be out for

Ryan Nyambe - Quad injury, had surgery and out for the season

Tyreece John-Jules - Hamstring injury, is allegedly back in light training so could play a part before the season ends

Jake Rooney - Knee injury, ACL so thought his season was over but is in light training so could play a part before the season ends

Josh Vickers - not listed by DET so assume he’s back in training

Oh, and Sonny Bradley still banned following his red card against Northampton, the Wycombe game is the final one of his 3 match ban.

If they want to extend Bradley's ban, that would be fine

That made sorry reading, thankfully you saved the little snippet at the end regarding Bradley to help a little.

Still, nothing compared to Bolton, according to Evatt they have had to register their tea lady as a player.

I was glad to see it’s improving, from the last time I posted a list like that we’ve got Vickers, Collins and NML all fit again. Bird, Barkhuizen and Ward are likely to be involved on Weds and if not then probably at the weekend. Sounds like Gayle, Forsyth and TJJ could play a part in the last game or two. We’re getting bodies back just in time.

I don't know how they're coping with 4 strikers. Especial the one that cost best part of a million and has 4 goals in 2 games.  You have to feel for them.

If you’re just short of someone who isn’t fit to play, I could fit that role.🙋‍♂️

If fozzie, gayle and bird are close to fitness we have to start risking them auto's is still on but we have to win all 3 games

we need them in the squad gives everyone a lift or do we save them and settle for playoffs

Bristol City might have something to say about rushing Bird back!

Why is it always the in-form players? If we didn't have miserable luck in that regard, we have none at all 😔

It seems that way, doesn't it. Ward, Nyambe, Fozzy, Bird, Collins, Barks and Gayle were all on fire when we lost them to injury.😡

Just going to pop this link in here     https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68797925

Rodri @ Man City says he's to tired to play, Pep says then he wont play as too many games.

We have had our fare share of injuries...do we in todays game play to many games for a club to suffer so many injuries...circa 50+

Way back in my day 60s n 70s players smoked, Drank ate a full English played on potato fields and didn't get the injuries we see today, Todays players are fitter, Leaner, Healthier, Play on pitches that you could play bowls on and are getting injuries that we never knew were in our legs 🤷‍♂️

It’s more to do with the level these athletes are playing at these days and the toll it takes on the body. To get to the peak of physical fitness can often put you at a breaking point where you push your body beyond its comfort zone too often, leading to more muscle strain/tear injuries.

Plus with modern physios and doctors checking in on players regularly, these problems are identified much more regularly than they used to be.

Im not saying players from back in the day weren’t skilful, but the game was different physically and training wasn’t as intense as it is these days. This meant there were more rest and recovery periods for players compared to todays daily schedule for professional squads.

It'll never happen, but the only way to reduce the amount of injuries happening to players at all clubs is smaller divisions, less games and no more 3 game weeks.

18 team divisions should do it.

That doesn’t matter - we never use it.

We did get the injuries Alf , but we were patched up ( injected up in the Pros case ) and sent out to play as long as we could hobble. Hence why many of us limp rather than walk or like Roy Mac have raging arthritis . Some injuries now are different due to players being highly trained and bodies over loaded.
