Bradley did fantastically to head it straight to them and kick it straight to them before getting done for pace in behind for it too. Truly top notch play. Caught on his heels again! IslandExile
For a season and a half I was very impressed with Wildsmith but he's faded for a while now. What he did tonight was just nuts. Hector was the best and r_wilcockson 1

How many times has he saved us before that tho 1 mistake? Hector was the best

He was in poor form and was rightly dropped. I think if Vickers was fit he'd be back in the team again on Saturday, correctly in my opinion because Wildsmith has been poor last 2 games again. He’d made some poor decisions and distributed the poor poorly in the previous 3-4 games. r_wilcockson

Turning speed and acceleration of an oil tanker - that one passage of play undoes all the good will his recent perfomances have generated.... There are going to be times when your defenders get outpaced, look at Cashin at Lincoln away. That's absolutely no excuse for Wildsmiths idiotic challenge. As slow as he is, if you look at the still picture of the penalty decision, Bradley was back to cover Wildsmith.
Curtains
Does Wildsmith even care ! Didn’t look upset at all . Drop him and put anyone in goal other than him

I wasn't trying to excuse Wildsmith's stupidity - just pointing out that if Bradley had done his job properly, the situation wouldn't have occurred.... And had Warne done his job properly and stuck with the centre back pairing of Nelson and Cashin in a back 4 that brought all the 'success', then Bradley wouldn't have been in the team.... r_wilcockson, RoyMac5, Rambling and 7 others 5

I'm pretty confident that PW thought this was his Stella signing(waits for beer puns 😁) there was a reason he was let go even for a Luton side who rely on heading the ball back whence it came and the pace of forwards in the EPL would have sent Bradley crackers...he's a favourite of PWs and trying to shoehorne him in a place where EC was pretty dominant...If we fail to go up this season...Cashin will be sold and Bradley will be made captain and be a year slower...let that sink in for a while 😬 Macintosh, Rambling, IslandExile and 2 others 3 1

BaaLocks
Maybe Warne will play Wildsmith at left back against Port Vale?
Papahet
He has a pretty custy job tbh, doesn't really do much most games and can't think of too many world class saves he's made in 18 months here (?) His decision making is woeful and this is the reason he's been a number 2 throughout his career prior to joining.
Top Lino
Both our Keepers have weaknesses in their games which reflect why their careers have gone the way they have. Personally think Wildsmith has a slight edge but both far from being top level.

Simmo’s left foot
Wildsmith is out of contract at the end of the season isn't he? Wonder if he has a new contract lined up somewhere else. Could that be why he got dropped?

More likely we have not yet offered a new contract yet going forward so he may be looking elsewhere, might be one of the reasons Warne dropped him apart from the errors that as crept in to his game, luckily we got out of jail at Oxford but did not last night and you could say Peterborough at home he did not cover himself in glory, small margins yes but these mistakes start to add up points wise

Time to stop playing NML behind the striker. He's much better out wide in his favoured position. Poor last night, poor at Barnsley. Plus, not having him out wide has seen us not create chances in front of goal.
