Hopefully has a good window, had two very underwhelming ones so far.

Think speaking less might help him as well, seemed numerous times where someone was “through the door” or “in the building”. Then silence for weeks.

if no outgoings then maybe get another wide player? Don’t have loads of options there, and warne talking about a striker too which we need.

bird and cashin leaving would mean they’d obviously need replacing. Cashin staying on loan for the season be ideal if sold.

Probably just me but if we have realistic ambitions to be promoted wouldn’t we need the likes of Cashin and Bird next season in the championship?

Probably but equally if they want to leave and have no intention of signing a new contract then that’s out of our hands slightly isn’t it.

Also think we should probably worry about the championship when we get there.

In a perfect world a deal for Cashin has already been sorted with Cashin remaining at the club on loan for the rest of the season. It makes a lot of sense if the transfer was as close as we were led to believe in August. Since then, Cashin has done nothing to damage his reputation and it makes more sense to leave him here in an established position rather than loaning him out to another club for 4 months and not be guaranteed a place.

If reports are to be believed, other clubs are interested and will have to better the potential deal from Brighton.

If Derby have anything about them, they should have this deal in place and ready to go on Jan 1st, in order that we can go out and strengthen the team asap.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Cashin is going and being loaned back till the end of the season and that’s what Warne means by being able to bring 1 or 2 in

Thinking about Cashin cover, do we know how Jake Rooney is getting on ? Regardless of necessary new faces I think Jake has a lot of potential

Definitely one of our younger players with bags of potential, and hopefully set for a good run in the 1st team squad when fully recovered from injury.

Not many non-league options at the moment.

Levi Amantchi - 23 years old with 13 goals in 20 NLS games for Maidstone. He's an absolute unit in terms of height, strength, and still being quite agile, so would be a handful for more or less any defence. Had a trial game for Boro U21s a couple of years ago.

Stephen Wearne - a 22 year old CM (can play on the wing or at AM) with 10 goals and 10 assists in 20 games for Gateshead (NL). He's a willing runner with a fantastic first touch. Was at Newcastle's academy until 16, then moved to Boro followed by Sunderland, so understands what it's like at a larger club with decent facilities.
