I am trying to sign it but I dont know how too.

You click on the link within the big blue banner at the top of this forum stating "Calling all football fans, help us save our club", the first link, your computer then goes to the change.org petition and then you type in your First Name, Last Name, e-mail address, then press the Yes or No button, then press the red sign the petition button, then press the Do not display my name button, if you don't want any others to see your name on the petition.

Then you receive an e-mail from change.org, open the e-mail and then click on the link to confirm that you are signing the petition.

And that's it complete.

It doesn't carry any clout at all, honestly. If we get to 100,000 it MAY get discussed (of it passes the e-petition committee stage) at at some point in the coming months. We need action NOW! Please share the existing petition....

Ok will do that ??

I have some experience with charities. There's a thing called "donor fatigue".

The current petition includes lots of signatures from supporters of other clubs. We should focus on that one petition.

Asking fans from those other clubs to sign a second petition will not meet with the same enthusiasm. That will result in a petition with fewer signatures than the first and result in the opposite impact than the one the proponents are hoping.

Seriously... Focus all efforts on this first petition. It's quantity that matters here.

The parliamentary mechanism requires 100,000 signatures to get something discussed - at some time in the future - in parliament. It won't get 100,000 and, even if it did, it wouldn't happen in time.

A far bigger impact will be achieved by the first petition obtaining as many signatures as possible. Everyone should work to achieve that - and to get it covered in the national media.

I agree - more is being achieved in respect of Parliament through lobbying local MPs.

It is, but at the risk if repeating myself, we just dilute the message by launching 2 petitions. Focus on 1, make it work, make it big. Remember, this one is global, has 35k signatures already and had momentum. A further petition simply detracts from this.

No it doesn't you just sign both and it expands the coverage.

Looks like the combination of emails to MPs, Twitter messages etc. are already doing a job. Lots of MPs saying they want urgent meetings with Sports Minister and EFL..great stuff..keeping the pressure up is vital and spreading the message wider is also essential to make things happen. Also a few celebs Tweeting about Derby and seems like at least a part of the mainstream media is picking up the message.

Great stuff by everyone . All Derby fans are after the same outcome...end the vendetta..we have our punishment..let us get on with the football. The Petitions will look great with the thousands of signatures, again the wider the message spreads the more people will sign.

Do we have any agreed hashtags we could use to keep the messages linked and relevant?

Probably requires a publicity stunt to Ram whom the message of the passion of Derby fans on the issue.

A demonstration outside Parliament or a parachuting directly into pride Park carrying a message for the administrators or a fly past with a banner over middlesborough game saying "gibson leave our club alone".

Fly past with banner over efl hq saying "efl leave our club alone!".

These things might gain a mention in the national press.

Mind you, what ever is done has to happen before the 1 February, the efl deadline for our club.

I just got round to watching BBC Football Focus and as I predicted yesterday morning, we didn't even get a mention.

The matter was mentioned on Quest on Saturday night, but that's probably to an audience well aware of our situation.

We probably need something to happen at Pride Park for the so called big media channels to take some sort of notice.

Maybe the forum could get some famous people to dress up as Rams, Ewe's and sing and the people of Britain have to guess who they are, get Jonathan Ross and his panel involved. Get Ant and Dec to get down to Derby Arena and get a load of famous people to camp in it, pretending they are in a Jungle and the people of Britain have to vote for their famous favourite celebrity. Get a load of famous people to dance on Pride Park, call it Strictly Come Ramcing and the people of Britain have to vote for their famous favourite celebrity and whilst all this tripe is happening we could have loads of messages advertising our current position, on the shirts of the famous celebrities, on screen messages, donation telephone lines and all the rest, and just maybe, and it's just a maybe, the people of Britain, might even notice our plight and how unfairly Derby County Football Club is being treated.

.................sheeps eyeball anyone?

Just remember, people of Britain, that voting via the phonelines will get us nowhere.  Use the postal option, which is always to a Derby PO Box Number.  That's gotta help, right?

Awesome, I'm impressed how we're mostly singing from the same petition sheet in this one.

It really doesn't, as another said, people will have fatigue. Some Rams will sign both most others won't. Remember, Rams, Dan's of other teams and, importantly, Niall Horan fans outside the UK cannot sign the government petition. Also remember that a government petition MUST have a question that is the responsibility of parliament. So the current question wouldn't pass that threshold as it considers the interpretation of law not the creation of law.

The petition is gaining momentum, a great amount of signatures and some coverage in the news but wouldn't it be great if sports networks like Talksport brought this up. They barely talk about the championship- the obsession with the 'big 6' is too much when this is a proper big football story. They would probably rather talk about poor defending by Man U or whats going wrong at Spurs sort of things!
