He's been able to sign almost no-one, yet you think that's a fair comparison. ?

I'm not commenting on if its fair Roy,it's this fantasy about him bringing in quality because of his name which just hasn't happened.

When it does then cry it from the rooftops but at the moment it's just basically not true.

Resigned him, he had played with us for quite a while, don’t think him resigning had anything to do with Wazza ?

He didn’t have to resign him did he? Rooney made it clear he wanted to but only what was it a couple of days before the season he was able to? He could have let him go elsewhere. So yes Rooney resigned him and with jags they have been immense.

So how did resigning him not have anything to do with Rooney? ??

Well this isn’t the person who offered a million more is it?

Guess it could be. If they've already got the funds too and are going to try and recoup their money through selling crypto shares through fans it could actually be a real thing. Strange that this would come out on Christmas day though.

But surely if he has that many connections as some seem to believe they would help an ex player out knowing they are in safe hands.

Certainly puts us at an advantage but there is no such thing as a FREE loan these days. And just to reiterate - we have been under and embargo, and just the small matter of administration over the past 3 months

What? Curtis signed because he loves the club not because of Wazza.

Awww no ? from you? ??

How do you know - are you his dad or something?

You are missing the point - Rooney did not have to resign him - we had a limit of players we were allowed to sign! (Was it 5?)

But as has been said before what players would accept £4.5K a week, people say he has done well to get the players in, Curtis was happy to accept that because he loves the club.Rooney didn't really have an option not to re-sign him. He had to scrape the barrel as it is.

I don't get the point in the first place?

Curtis was already with us and he was resigned because we had no one else to replace him...certainly no super talented loans from clubs in awe of Wayne and his coaching methods.

Exactly - he’s had to scrape the barrel! All of this is nothing to do with Rooney! It’s Mel who left us in this financial mess!

Re curtis - Rooney still resigned him whatever…and the signing of jags was top drawer given our limitations

Well he signed jags and stearman so had other players on the radar given the restrictions. Some managers may have opted against Davies given his age and coming back from the serious injury. I’m not saying we should have but some would. Rooney chose to resign him - he makes the decisions as manager. So to say it was nothing to do with him is plainly not true
