Rooney and Rosenior are too involved in the current failings. If they had solutions, they would have presented them by now. If they haven’t, they risk looking unprofessional and compromised.

You say that but Jody Morris said he had ideas for better gameplans and stuff but said Frank didn't implement them as it was ultimately up to Frank.

But then why would the club hire all of these coaches if the manager is not going to appreciate their input?

I’d give my left nut to see a surprise unveiling video later on today of McClaren, Simpson and Steele emerging from the smoke filled pride park tunnel to AC/DC’s shoot to thrill

While Steele (McCarthy's twin) does the blue steel look to camera, and McClaren gives a cheeky salute

It’ll be the Championship specialist Liam Rosenior.?

I know that decisions are made by the manager and it will be him that is ultimately judged.

But I really fail to see exactly what Rosenior brings to the table.

Most on here wax lyrical about him but if he was bought in as an expert, he either is clearly not being listened to or he is not what he was made out to be.

I'm not sure about that. Any out of work manager should look at our squad plus the young talent coming through and expect to quickly move up the league.

I would agree if this happened 5-6 games ago.

But now I think managers will be looking at the current situation and thinking the rot is too deep.

Loads of chat about experience in the division etc and we've seemed totally devoid of ideas when trying to win games. Teams are appointing foreign managers we've never heard of and playing us off the park. Anyone can talk a good game.

I think Jody Morris could be a good option, whether he would leave Frank is another question. Not the most glamorous of names but I think he would get us playing some decent attacking football based on his Chelsea academy days.

Would need an experienced head alongside him I think.

Eh I'm not so sure. Last night I think was the first truly alarming performance. Recently we've been playing ok against decent opposition and just not capitilsing on it but last night was different, especially with a completely fit team. A new manager could probably look at our squad, the state of things and with the international break think they could turn it around. The only really red flag they'd have is Rooney.

It needs to be someone aligned with what we have built/have building towards though. No good getting in a 442 merchant who relys on grinding out results and booting it to a big lump.

Jody would be a great shout if the strategy continues to be promoting kids from the u23s.
