Marshall - 6 - didn’t have a lot nearly another thunder-bluff

Byrne - 6 - need more going forward. Some key last ditch tackles

‘Dre Wiz - 8 - very good on the ball. Staggering that our centre half is one of the most creative in the tean

Clarke- 7 - steady Eddy

Buchanan- 6 - strong first half, faded but no support at all from Lawrence on the left.

Bird- 8- good to have him back and ball retention was excellent

Rooney- 7ish... some incisive passes to our god awful inept idiots in front of him...

Holmes- 5 - so frustrating. Really poor decision making. Shooting instead of the extra pass, turning his back on the overlap.

Knight- 6- Feel for him, just not a wide man.

Lawrence - 2 - His routine long shot nowhere near the target, shocking decision making, abysmal crossing, always picks the ball up on his back foot when back to goal so it stops him being able to turn when it’s on and keep the momentum of the attack. Shoots when he should pass, passes when he should dribble. Turns his back to Buchanan’s overlapping first half. He has to be on the bench next game he isn’t good enough. He’s been sub par all his Derby career with 1 game every 10.

Waggy - 5- not too bad first half but doesn’t offer enough as a the centre forward.

Marshall 6 - couple of good saves but didn't have a great deal to do. Almost gifted them a goal first half

Byrne 6 - good defensively with one crucial block but not great going forward. Lacks quality at times, often misplacing passes

Buchanan 6 - not bad defensively & couple of decent moments going forward. Spoilt it with some shocking delivery at other times though

Wisdom 7 - a welcome return. Very solid at the back, Martin & Wells barely had a sniff. Very comfortable on the ball & a big improvement on Davies in contributing to our control of the game

Clarke 7 - much like Wisdom, kept Martin & Wells very quiet and looked accomplished in possession. Think Clarke/Wisdom needs to be kept for next few games as our first choice pairing

Rooney 6 - some good touches but rarely troubled Bristol. Usual mixture of Hollywood balls out wide & easy square balls but just slowed play really

Bird 7 MOM - another welcome return to the starting XI. So comfortable on the ball & looked to get the ball moving forward. Unlucky with a couple of cracking through balls, this lad needs to stay in the team

Knight 5 - struggled out wide. He is not a winger & I'm sick of seeing him out there, its a waste. Tried manfully but without pace, some trickery or consistent delivery, he was never going to contribute much

Holmes 5 - in fairness he did improve but had a poor start to the game. At his best, he's a livewire but he was too far forward today (apart from when we actually needed him in the box). He just does not have the quality or cutting edge to play that role

Lawrence 5 - was good without the ball, highlight being a couple of cracking tackles. Unfortunately was poor in possession - poor decision making, no shots on target or key passes - a bit anonymous despite the platform we had

Waghorn 5 - pretty anonymous all day. Didn't seem to play the CF role as was wandering a lot - needs to get himself central & hold that ball better. Couple of decent efforts from range but need much more from him

Good stuff. We seem to have watched the same game.
