MackworthRamIsGod
You would hope things are resolved very quickly now, these 2 weeks were perfect for resolving the managerial crisis, letting the new (or existing manager) work with the players and do all we can to turn a corner, starting with a tough game against Chris Martin's Bristol City. As it is, we are almost 1 working week down, our current manager is either self isolating or on gardening leave, whichever you choose to believe, our players are totally in the dark, some going as far as to speak about the uncertainty in the media, we are heading towards the Bristol City game as the the same old car crash. We are in real danger of when everything is resolved and things start to settle our league position could be like that of the titanic trying to turn from the iceberg. Can you imagine our ownership situation being held up by a three year court case to determine who was liable? And the police looking for Jimmy 'fingers' Wilson who was last seen in a new Bentley telling his mates that he was off to buy an island.

Without sounding too trite, it's more important to secure our long term future than it is to worry about just one championship fixture. We have got things wrong so many times. This is not a decision to rush through. Change of ownership first, then new roles. Who's in charge will determine the manager situation and I suspect they will want to know Mel's views on that one (whether or not they agree). It's buying a football club, consider how long it takes to buy a house at the best of times and then multiply it by 10, maybe even 15. This was never going to be a quick process even when the proposal was agreed in principle. We also, bare in mind, now look like one of the favourites for relegation and probably need to pay off an expensive manager and coaching staff. I doubt that would've been a consideration a month or two ago which is bound to have an impact. No need to panic either way - if it happens, it happens. If it doesn't then hopefully Mel can still steer the ship.

Ramarena
Some of our fans seem to think buying a football club for millions is like popping into Tesco to get a chicken for the Sunday roast! Only took 5 mins why can’t these idiots get it done as quick!

Certainly no need to panic but because of the previous two failed takeover attempts by this group plus the club losing money for a few years now, and our financial limitations, it is understandably a worrying time for fans without even looking at the table ! Hector was the best
When I sold my business The buyer tried to drop the agreed price at the last minute. So it took soom weeks more before it was finally done.
Rab a dab doo
That's trick played by a lot of unscrupulous buyers who try to test the resolve of seller at last minute to hold their price, when being threatened with the other party with walking away.
