Mel,

Swallow your pride and offer Keogh a deal, he is solid and dependable and will cost nothing.

33 years old and hasn't played (or trained) in a year

Oh, also we have a new CB coming in who was actually chosen by our current manager and plays the same position

Other than that it's a great idea...

I liked Keogh thought he was good at this level & up until the incident a fantastic servant for the club.

But he's 33. Had career threatening injury & wont be getting any better as a footballer at that age.

Whilst not getting promoted in the time he was here wasn't solely his fault. Even if he was fit & hadn't had an injury, why go back to a player who has failed with us time & time again?‍♂️

We need to improve on him

Have you been drinking?

I think we should swerve well away of this deal.

Maybe if we didn't have to break a leg to get the deal done?

I think its a car crash waiting to happen though.

Would be very surprised if he was open to the suggestion.

Even if he was, the following questions would need answering:-

Is he fit?

What level is he capable of playing too following such an injury?

What length of contract and wages would he accept?

Personally, I wouldn't even be considering it if I was MM/Cocu.

Was offered reduced terms and that was generous.

Didn't take the olive branch and is now out on his arse, sure he’ll find a club this summer considering everyone will be so desperate but it’s his fault he’s not here.

Saying Mel should swallow his pride is ludicrous, he did and Keogh didn’t.
