Having come off the bench for WHU and winning 3-1 Kelvin Philips is involved in a couple of contentious decisions, When boarding the WHU coach he was accosted by a WHU fan about his performance.

This is Mr Philips reply

Man City v Arsenal. Groan, what a yawn fest. Saw about 60 minutes of the game. I should have done something more entertaining. For example, watching paint dry or cleaning the toilet.

City weren’t good. Not sure why Arsenal didn’t go for it more, as a draw just makes Liverpool favorites now. Arsenal have the hardest run in of the three teams, while Liverpool have the easiest.

Liverpool don’t have big Champions League or FA Cup games to go either.

Liverpool will win the league and should win the Europa League too. A treble is a good send off for Klopp.

Arsenal took 4 points off City and Liverpool this season, while City and Liverpool got two against each other.

In the table between the three it goes:

Arsenal 8 pts

City 3pts

Liverpool 3 pts

Basically Arsenal gained 5 points on the both. If they don’t win the PL, they will have themselves to blame for dropping points elsewhere - notably against West Ham and Fulham.

Liverpool have the best record against the PL’s lesser teams. I don’t see where they drop points in 2 or 3 of their final 9 games to allow City in.

City still have Spurs and Brighton away, where they will drop points. Arsenal have them too, plus Man Utd away.

Liverpool’s hardest game left is Villa away but their style of football will beat Villa.

Liverpool have got United again. As crap as United are, they can beat anyone on their day.

(yes, that is an absolute dig at United, they are in the category of Brighton now, where they can ‘beat anyone in their day’).

Squared up to a female player.

Not banging a drum but just pointing out there were 2 aspects to the story.

Selective quoting can come across as disingenuous

Great response from all at Ellend Road, Game stops for 1 minute to remember the deaths of Chris Loftus and Kevin Speight who were killed in Istanbul Turkey 24 years ago.

Without meaning to be disrespectful, but do they do this every year?  Is there a significance of the 24th anniversary?  (It's clearly not a "traditional" landmark anniversary?).  I note they were killed on the 5th, so not an exact anniversary matchday either?

Just curious.

Oh... and 👏 👏 for Chris and Kev.
