I take it that he hasn’t signed then?

He signed last week we're just waiting on the announcement.

I’m getting giddy at the thought of 3 at the back now, which would also negate the major need for a winger, with the fullbacks providing the width, which is what ours are best at.

Just what I was thinking. Bogle and Lowe are great at attacking. Malone and Forsyth not bad at it too. The back 3 would cover them and Bielik could be ideal as a ball playing attacking sweeper.

Very hard to find good wingers at Championship level, so don't bother.

                        Marshall

       Te Wierik    Clarke   Panzo

Bogle             Bird/Rooney            Lowe

       Sibley/Holmes   Shinnie/Knight

            Waghorn         Marriott

Chuck Bielik in there and a new striker and it's looking very tasty.

I think one of Waghorn or Marriott, with Lawrence or Sibley playing off them.

Why would Brighton not wait until the last minutes (of the window) if it’s a loan? There are plenty of things that could pan out in the start of the season (injuries, transfer dominoes where some other champ club suddenly gets cash from sales etc).

Hope I am wrong, but I don’t think he will be in the line up for first match unless it is permanent.

A back 3 would suit what we have at the minute, it's just whether cocu wants to adapt to playing that way

If true (big if) it suggest 3 at the back or players leaving.

Current CB options: panzo, Clarke, mike, wizzy, Evans, Davies, beilik

FB options: wizzy, bogle, Lowe, Malone, fozzy, panzo

Players surplus to requirements: Malone, Evans, Davies

Saleable assets: Bogle and Lowe

Id expect us to try and unload the surplus and maybe sell Bogle (if possible).

Even with 3 at the back we need to move some players on.

Clarke re-signing would be a little swings and roundabouts for me.

Yes, he knows the system, so wouldn't need educating unlike a brand new addition - but are we really just going to develop someone else's player again? Perhaps that's why we are after Panzo as well...

Still, would definitely welcome him back with open arms. Shame we didn't have him for all of last season.

It’s not a question of developing someone else’s player. He is doing a job until we can either afford to buy him or can buy someone else.  We haven’t got the money right now to either buy him or buy someone else as good and we haven’t got anyone good enough in that position coming through the academy

Wolves got promoted through having all of those Portuguese players on loan who got them up and then they bought most of them...

Is that Krystian Bieliks American cousin?

I do think if we get Clarke back on loan it will be with a view to a permanent deal which would be great

BHA have too many CB's so this is a possibility

I agree that might be why they are willing to loan him to us again

Dunk was rumoured to be going to Chelsea but has just signed a 5 year contract with Brighton. This must boost our chances of getting Clarke for another seasons' loan
