loweman2
Another spanker added to the collection, to finish off the 1986 promotion season under Arthur cox, these are incredibly rare but stunning ! loweman2
Wow ! A real piece of history, Martin Taylor’s shirt from 1994 season, he was player of the year, this is his play off final shirt that he wore and also in that semi final v Millwall where it turned into a riot and Martin himself was assaulted on the pitch, he also wore it at Wembley as he was superstitious of wearing new shirts, he also put on the letter that Gordon Guthrie had forgotten to send his shirt off to be embroidered for the final as all the others were new shirts, also never had league arm badges for some reason, great shirt. loweman2
This one is from the last season at the Baseball Ground and that was Martins last season for Derby before he left for a successful career at Wycombe , he wore this shirt in his last premier league game against Forest, so those two facts make it a bit special, also these were the first shirts without the box around the ram and also it is facing the opposite way still, also had the black numbers on the back before they changed them to white, ive checked it out on you tube in the 4-2 win over spurs and you can hardly see it, a nice rare item. loweman2
I think this must go to the top as my greatest match worn Derby County shirt in my collection, England’s all time number one, his favoured shirt for league games, most capped Englishman with 125 and most league appearances at 1,400 this is something to treasure, worn in his time at the Rams and given to his understudy for his testimonial and signed by the great man, another fine piece of Derby County history being preserved for the next generation ! To be honest @Boycie i dont know what I am doing any more, what started out as a hobby has turned into some undertaking of biblical proportion proportions! Something akin to Noah and his ark. I think that God has chosen me to ensure that the Derby shirt can live on ! I am taking them two by two (home and away) and coaxing our third shirt where possible. forty days and forty nights of rain may ensue and that will be the sign ! the sign for me to set them free ! loweman2
Thanks to @MickD for sending me the shirt, found it’s way home, all the way from Canada A rarity in the fact it was the last time that Derby County played a league game without a shirt sponsor, this was due to the Maxwell scandal that had broken a few months earlier, it meant that that nothing was in place for the first few games of the 1991/92 season, this is a Gary Micklewhites no 7 shirt, 28 years ago. loweman2
This one adds to the great collection of sportsweek shirts from the promotion season of 1986/87, my best season following the Rams, I didn’t think I could beat the yellow one, but this one was made especially for Mark Wallington that season for the game v Plymouth as they obviously wore green, really nice rare shirt, an be seen wearing it here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_ImAbJkjFs Edited September 6, 2019 by loweman2 SKRam, Steve How Hard?, BarrowRam and 1 other

loweman2
Next one is the best shirt in my opinion that we ever had, this is the number nine worn by Kevin Wilson, a leading light in very dark times, this was the 99th year that ticked into the centenary season, denoted by the squarer numbers on the back, great shirt, great player ! Massive thanks to @LeedsCityRam for letting me take his shirt to the next generation ! loweman2
Saved the best till last, as I said the promotion season of 1986/87 was my all time favourite and my all time favourite Ram was a certain Bobby Davison, i am very lucky to now own his number nine shirt from that season, oh Bobby Bobby ! I am open to any shirts that may be hidden in the back of draws or in a suitcase in the attic, I am trying to preserve as many shirts as possible for future generations! Would love a 1950s/60s player shirt to add. its more about the shirt than the player ! if anyone has any please let me know, the guys on this great forum of ours have been a massive help. they will all appear in the next update on the shirt book with a mention. up the rams !
