Burton Albion v Derby County

Can't believe Gary has either not read this thread, or has read it and decided NOT to change the formation.

Absolutely bonkers, we won 2 on the row then were easily beaten by a very good Wolves team. This was the moment to change everything round and start from scratch.

If he did ring the changes, we would have all fully supported him if we ended up a shambles and lost.

Just hope we don’t play in front of them all game. Hopefully we’ll try and get in behind because their defence is truely dreadful. Less predictability please Derby!

Woukd have like him to alter the formation for a change. Are 2 holding midfielders required against a team like burton?

You honestly believe that?

Not the team a lot of people will have wanted to see but we absolutely need to win this game. Does anyone think that team can’t beat that Burton team?

Might see a bit of experimentation second half but this is one of our last games where you can bank on us winning (I’ve got money on 2-0 Derby), I can see why Rowett doesn’t want any complications.

Looking forward to a Luke Thomas cameo.

Would have been the chance to get Forsyth back in so we could get some attacking down the left, Palmer in for some more creativity, Keogh back for better distribution from the back but none of that.

Talk about a bland line up away at a team stuffed 5-0 midweek and haven't won in 15 at home!

Not to mention the fact this team has mustered 5 shots in their last two away games.

This is why the discontent is growing against GR.

Give a big wave to Super Jake Buxton for us. Just back from the pub watching a hard working grafting Motherwell beat Aberdeen in the semi final of the Scottish Cup.

Here's hoping we have more savvy and experience not to be out muscled by a hard working Burton team. If we put the correct work ethic in to the game, we shoukd win the game and not give the game away, like Aberdeen did, to a team in yellow.

Pass the ball, move into space and hit the target and not the goalkeeper, football a simple game, unfortunately played by too many simple lads and watched by far too many simple folk!

I'm possibly in the minority but I think some consistency at this stage of the season is no bad thing.

Ledley and Huddlestone in the middle of the park is key, not disappointed to see that partnership given time to gel further; should we make the playoffs, they will be essential.

Nugent, like many a striker, is a confidence player and no better day than today to break that.

However, would like to see Thomas given half hour if the situation dictates, could play an important part next season assuming we didn't go up.

Same team as the last 4, Gary keeping faith in the team, hope the team repay that faith with a good win for the Rams, for what it is worth, keeping the same team who got him 6 points out of 9 is a good decision, keep changing the line up at this stage of the season, is not want a manager in the top 6 should be doing.
