Al Hasawi, the Kuwaiti businessman whose turbulent reign ended last May, was sued by Forest in December over money the Championship club claim they are owed. But Al-Hasawi has issued a counter-claim insisting he is due a payment of around £4.2m in unsecured interest free loans. They posted an in depth look at Forest finances yesterday, stripping out all the one off accounting adjustments and comparing them with the rest of the league. It showed how parachute payments totally skews the championship where the gap in revenue between relegated clubs and the rest is circa £35m.
