Saturday 10.15am and the look on the face of the father of the family who were camping in the nearby tent......

We went camping at the weekend with another family. Me & the other dad went on Friday evening to set up the tents, stay over, have a few beers etc - and the wives and kids joined us on Saturday morning for the festival. We'd exchanged pleasantries with a perfectly nice family from another tent 25 feet or so away. Mum, Dad, a few kids. We sat outside our tent & knocked back a few. They sat outside theirs and did family camping stuff - though they did seem to go to bed early.

It wasn't until I saw the look of utter relief & joy on his face when our wives & kids turned up at 10.15 on Saturday that I realised how dodgy he must have thought we looked: 2 blokes there with a tent each - at a festival for young children.

I've chuckled about his reaction ever since.

That chord change/fadeover in Band on the Run where it shifts from "...gonna give it all away, to a registered charity"... dum dum dum dum dum "well the rain exploded with a mighty crash as we fell into the sun"...

Las Vegas casino smell. Cigar smoke, rum, pineapple, hope and despair.

Wetherspoons carpets.

Walking through Bristol today, suddenly finding myself at Dr Burnorium's surgery.

A nip inside, a prescription filled and I walked out with bottles of Red Savina, Trinidad Scorpion and Naga Jolokia sauces.

Mmmmm, the best medicine to alleviate the depression caused by the news from Sheffield, supplemented by the wonderful jerk chicken wrap I had from the Caribbean shop just outside.

Members of Parliament who go on Breakfast TV to talk about a 'nice' cheery human interest story, they don't wear a tie and are trying to be all casual and down with the kids.

But .... the Breakfast TV furniture doesn't quite cover their feet and we can see their stack-heeled boots they secretly wear as they are so self concious about their height.

The possibility that Trump might feel that Hurricane Irma is being hyped for political purposes (I.e. Global warming) and to prove it, he goes to Mar-a-Lago this weekend to play golf.
