Have you any idea how insulting that is to the hundreds of fans who go home and away, singing when we're winning - and when we're losing - building the atmosphere in the ground while the drinkers are still in the pub and staying behind at the end to applaud the players?
The idiots who barge in at five to three, pushing into seats that aren't theirs, swearing at and hitting their own fans, puking over stewards have no idea just how loutish and unpopular they are.
And the idea that you can't have a good time unless you are full of beer or other substances says more about those fans than anything else does, imo.

What? Take a patient and pragmatic view when we can keep feeding this thread with non-informed opinion so as it can go round-and-round in circles for another 100 pages?
    Where's the fun in that?

    ? spot on
maybe someone could draw up a sliding scale or chart that identifies what contributes being a Super Fan, simply a fan, 3/4 fan, 1/2 fan etc.

I’m guessing a Super fan would be someone who goes to ALL home and away matches, drinks 20 pints and spends 90 minutes facing the opposing fans and chanting about Collymore and Billy Sharp.

I can’t afford to attend many away matches but I am a season ticket holder so I’ll happily sit in the 1/4 fan category.

Why? Did we go into admission? Yes. Did we break FFP rules? Yes. We have reaped what Mel has sown. You can keep up  your blinkered and blatantly incorrect view that it’s all Gibson’s and the EFL’s fault but you are clearly not understand the facts

Because they can and they have.
Sorry B4, whether we think we’ve been badly treated or got what we deserve, it’s irrelevant now and no amount of protesting is going to change anything. I’d much prefer it if any songs, banners, demonstrations etc were purely focused on supporting the team and showing our loyalty and solidarity rather that aimed at either the EFL or Mel.

Public defamation of the EFL by the fans, at a time when our club need as much positivity as possible will only backfire in my opinion.  Don't get me wrong, I'd like to get banner fly-bys calling the EFL all sorts of things, but it achieves nothing whilst they sit in their smug ivory towers accountable to no-one but themselves.  The only way they'll be held to account (but not guaranteed) is through an independent review.
If anything, any public display by Derby, and more so its fans, needs to be seen as something to be proud of, which will only further reassure buyers they are buying into something special.  Many of us sit here spouting how Rooney is something special to sit there week after week, publicly saying he'll not quit, that he'll focus on taking the team forward, keep working hard. That's exactly what fans should do.  We are a big part of the public face of this club from which many will judge us.
I'm sure Rooney sits there behind closed doors swearing and cursing about how things have been handled. But you don't and won't see it. The same should be said of us.

Keeping the likes of Bird and Knight (and others) would be fantastic however I personally would not think any less of them or indeed any of the players if they chose to accept offers from elsewhere under the circumstances.
Especially those lads in the early stages of their careers who have higher aspirations or international opportunities.
How many of us in our own jobs would ignore an offer from another company when the one you currently work for is in such dire difficulties?
If there is a mass departure it will be interesting to see what sort of reaction they would get from our fans on the Ex Rams forum or IF they had to play against us? (I’m obviously thinking in a cup game more likely  ?)
    Hostility or acceptance?

He’s our top goal scorer FFS and we’ve had one of the tightest defences in the league.

The goals yesterday came from Forsyth being in no-mans land and Buchanan giving the ball away too easily and then having to foul and give a free kick away.

I’d rather have Davies in this team than the majority of the others - too many to mention.

I really don’t get why people are so up tight. It feels like some people have got a vendetta against the club’s official supporters group. I can’t put my finger on it but some of them are decent humorous posters, others I probably would expect.
Other things I have seen is people holding a grudge going back 15 years or more. Good grief!! Time moves on the only people I know who grasp onto things from the past have extra fingers and toes.
I suppose everyone has their opinion but I for one would like to think as supporters of the same club we all have some common ground to start with.

If people aren’t happy with something why not have a constructive discussion about where you think it went wrong and what could be done better rather than completely dismissing everything going forward.

And the next generation are waiting in the wings.

We sometimes catch the Matlock to Derby train to home games. At Belper a group of 5 or 6 lads (maybe 14-15 yrs) get on in their wannabe Stone Island clothes and start effing and jeffing as soon as they got on. The train is full of Zimmer frames and prams, and that compiles their audience.
At Derby they go quiet if the away fans might be around.
And same again after the match. if the away fans are on the same platform they are quiet as mice until back on the train. Pathetic really.
I’m sure they go back to school on the Monday bragging about how they ‘owned’ the 2 carriage shopper express.

Just listened to Liam’s press conference and mightily impressed by the passion, enthusiasm and commitment for the club that he exudes - and I believe it’s genuine.  One of the reasons for the togetherness and fighting spirit that we are showing at the moment is the motivation and belief that both Wayne and Liam command……… players will walk through walls for them I’m sure and I feel this is showing on the pitch.

Rambervalley reacted to r4derby in I have idea for north stand
As someone who has a season ticket in the lower North Stand, I have no idea how empty it looks from the other side of the stadium. There are times when the stadium is full of noise, and even then the North feels quiet. But at the same time, there are a lot of older folk who sit around us who like to sit and enjoy the game. They’re not fussed about standing and singing, but like watching the South Stand do their stuff. The bounce looks great from our end.
Im not sure an organised standing group would work, or even go down well B4.
