No it was lager? the thing is I was talking to him and my wife didn’t know who he was and just assumed he was another Derby fan, when he offered to buy us a drink she politely refused , then when Mel was at the bar I told her she had just refused a drink from a multi millionaire and she changed her mind .
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

I was there that day , went down on the train with my mate. We had a few drinks in the pub and it was all good natured with the hammers fans and then a good result for Derby but as you said it was afterwards that it all kicked off. As we came down the steps we were met with a hail of bottles and bricks thrown at us. In the carnage that ensued I got split up from my mate ( no mobiles then)and had to catch the tube back to the station on my own crammed in with loads of WH fans trying not to make eye contact with anyone so I didn’t have to speak and give my accent away. It was such a relief to find him at the station and get back on train home. Good day out though ?

Compared to Villa, Bournemouth, Leicester, QPR, Wolves and co, yes we bloody have! In case you're unaware, the only charge upheld against the club thus far relates to our use of ERV amortisation versus straight line, a crime so heinous that it is not even cited in the EFL's own regs and even then, only in reference to the manner in said policy was described in our accounts. I'd venture that's pretty feckin irregular, though doubtless you can provide ample evidence to show otherwise?
As things stand, we've endured nearly 24 months of on-off embargos and the EFL are still apparently seeking a significant points deduction as the cherry on the cake (and all this in defiance of the findings of two IDC panels) yet by your reckoning, the piss-taking is exclusively the province of Mel and the club! How the feck does that work then?
Astounds me that so many so-called fans are quite happy to get the pitchforks out for Morris whilst copping a massive blind one to the fact that we have a collective of port-slurping, old school tie bankers with no clue what they are doing, lining their pockets as they sell out the very member clubs whose interests they purport to serve.

He's a generous bloke, £1.2m for a robotic surgeon to Derby Hospital that helps the city, saved lives and pumped millions into the football club.
People can dissect his running of the club and they will, but honestly having talked to him on many occasions, he's a decent guy that does care.
I would receive calls just to check up how I was doing during my bad days with anxiety. Was hard to read that he was going through his own health issues.
I'll get hammered for this post but I'm gutted for the guy with how this is ending. Always will.
Won't ever feel comfortable reading people laying into him as a man, but accept that others haven't been as lucky I have to have been able to see that side of him.

To be fair there was that many on there I wouldn’t have noticed. We were in the Marriott Royal after we had transferred from the Swansea Marriott where the players had stayed, I expected the players would be staying at the Bristol Marriott as they did the previous year when Lampard was in charge. We were sat in the bar a couple of hours before the game and Mel walked in on his own and sat at the table next to us. This was pretty much at the start of our troubles with the Efl and I asked him if there was any update and his words were there are pages and pages of paperwork to go through. How can the same news cause such differing opinions. We have literally got people saying we’re bang to rights take our medicine and move on to those who believe we’ve done nothing wrong and should not accept any punishment whatsoever.
What we have is people making up their own minds based on a hunch. We have no facts here but the speculation is polarising opinion.
The Club must come out with something tangible to explain everything from ticket sales to transfer embargo.
The Club’s reputation amongst fans is in the bin and only the Club can change that.
Do something about it DCFC!

1 Confirmation that they have met the sanction imposed by the IDC. IE Fine paid and revised accounts submitted
2 Whether a timescale for response from the EFL has been agreed, if so approx dates.
3 Are any steps being taken to resolve other current EFL sanctions ie HMRC and transfer instalments OR are these reliant on takeover completion.

I think I was the last person to get in at the away end for this match. Me and my mate had tried a couple of the away turnstiles but they said it was full,  tried the last one, my mate got in and they said that’s it no more I pleaded with the guy on the gate and said my mate has the car keys and he let me in.
 
 
 

If you have to slow the camera down to work out intent, you are essentially implying that Forsyth's brain works quicker than any other human being on the planet.
Careless? Perhaps. But how can you look at that and say there was intent there? He doesn't even look, and would have to guess where the player has landed. Unless the suggestion is that Forsyth has been blindly stamping the pitch his entire career, and that finally, he got one.

I was in the home end at Blackpool against florist in the playoff semifinal in 2010. I rang their ticket office for a seat in the home end but when I gave them my Nottinghamshire address they they said no. I told them I was a Derby season ticket holder and was trying to visit all the grounds. They rang Derby’s ticket office ( when there was actually people there answering the phone) and checked my number and sent me a ticket in the main stand where I watched wee billy suffer at the hands of DJ Campbell
