Ambitious got a reaction from Ramsley in When do we start to panic?
The time to panic was a while ago. This has been written in the stars for the past 12 months. Players aren't going to want to come to a club with no secure ownership, potentially a points deduction hanging over their head, with little to no players - IF they have other options on the table.
We will sign players, we will have a team for the first game of the season, but I always said that I would imagine that all our work will go into the final 2 weeks before the season starts. I'd imagine a lot of them will be loan players to just keep the club ticking on without any long-term commitment. We face a mountainous task to even remain a Championship club.

Who's panicking? Rooney nearly managed to get us relegated to League 1 last season I'm sure he'll succeed this time around.

Ambitious got a reaction from Carl Sagan in when can we expect the player retained list?
For all the criticism I could throw at Rooney, two things that seems evident is that the players respect him AND he's committed to the job. When you have an owner who is absolutely desperate to get rid of what looks to be a ticking timebomb. I'm personally reluctant to hammer the one guy who has been looking beyond the end of his nose for our club. All that being said, I'd be extremely surprised if we're handed a point deduction and still able to stay up under his management.
Rooney is a good choice for us to being able to call in favours, plus he's desperate to make it work in management. He needs to carve out a job that looks somewhat successful here. He's got a lot on the line.

The problem there being that young players should be focusing on development rather than how fast they can make the first team.
We’ve progressed a lot of academy players recently, but how many of them have significantly improved in the first team environment since making their debut.
At the end of last season, they all collectively took a step backwards: Buchanan, Sibley, Knight and Bird.

Really liked Archie Brown. He definitely has potential to be a very good player. I think that’s just the sign of the times, though, any good young player with potential shouldn’t want to play for us in our current state.
If you’re a highly rated young footballer and your agent is telling you to join Derby County - honestly, you need a new agent!

I mean.. at least the wage bill can't be an issue!

Absolutely, but a player with his reputation should've produced something much better than 1 goal and 3 assist with 40 plus appearances - especially in a second division. I get that playing with Lewandowski helps, a lot, in comparison to Kazim-Richards.

It will be interesting to see how Joz fairs for Poland. He's so highly regarded by the Polish set up that it's difficult to believe it's the same player.

Ambitious got a reaction from Spanish in Jason Knight
If it was a choice of staying at Brighton or coming here, I'd imagine you're right. However, he's in the middle of a four-year contract and could potentially get a move to a team in this league in a better position on loan or maybe even permanently and sign for more money.
I guess we will have to wait and see on the spending side. I meant that we are scaling back on what was our financial boundaries, not what the wage bill currently sits at, which is almost impossible, but I'd imagine the days of spending upwards of £20k-a-week on a players wage is long gone until new ownership is found.

Ambitious got a reaction from Norman in Jason Knight
We have to be fair to Knight, honestly, Brighton is a great opportunity to develop. Derby isn’t.
Get a fair fee, let him move on with our best wishes. I’d say the same goes for all our young players - all of which regressed during the past season. You’ve got to remember these are young lads, with a lot of potential and deserve the opportunity to move on due to our current situation.
£5m is more than fair.

Funnily enough, those on the street said, and all the other surrounding streets, something very similar about you.

Ambitious got a reaction from May Contain Nuts in Johnny Russell
I wouldn't say I was happy to see the back of Russell, but I felt at the time we needed a lot better for where we wanted to be (at that time). I think the opportunity to be a bit of a flat-track bully has helped him get a bit of his confidence back, but ultimately he's still operating with the same hardware so I wouldn't want him back at this point - on inflated wages.
It would be good to see him back in England - or even Scotland. I'd like to see what he could do in the SPL.

Ambitious got a reaction from Norman in 21/22 Season Tickets
They could explain why tickets aren't on sale, rather than 'we currently don't have any information regarding 2021-22 season tickets'. I'm not saying the club not putting the tickets on sale is pitiful - but the communication towards the fans is rotten.
It doesn't help that 90% of clubs have had no issues putting theirs up for sale whilst we're (apparently) waiting for the government to give the go ahead? It just seems strange to me. We're only guessing that we're waiting for the government to give the go ahead because the club haven't said anything at all.
Do we assume we're waiting until June 21st before putting them on sale - maybe longer? I don't think it's asking for much to just have a little bit of an outline. It's easy to see why fans are getting pissed off.
