Perhaps the title of thread could be changed to "Lack of sexism at PP". Been attending matches since 83/4 - never witnessed any sexist behaviour at any matches. All this from one idiot on twitter?

Totally agree, the rams have always had a good following of females and children. Ive been going for years and never experienced any sexism.

Most of the women I know in similar positions of seniority say the same. Until we get rid of "targets" for things like gender diversity we can't claim there's true equality is their view.

And they're absolutely right (as well as being talented individuals).

There are loads of crap male refs and will prob be same for female refs the more they come into the game. Does not matter what gender you are as long as you are good.

So when there's 20,500 singing 'f*** the EFL', casting doubt on the ref's heritage, or chanting about Nate's wang, how does being in the family area prevent kids hearing stuff you'd rather they didn't? That was the point I was making.

That dosnt bother me, we all sing the songs at sometime, but as in my earlier post when youths keep coming out with f...... c.... when a player misses a shot or miskicks a ball, do you think that is acceptable anywhere in the ground never mind the family area.

Hopefully, the club will have the direct debit facility up and running for the season ticket renewals. This will make the difference between some people being able to afford a season ticket and not be able to afford it.

Hope so, i don't use it but my son does.

The songs just go over your head i think and dont really bother me. We sit in the family seats and on tuesday luckily my 5 year old grandson didnt attend, but behind us sat 4 youths late teens i think and they were coming out with f_ c_  words. I did turn round and politely said it wasnt on in the family bit. They wernt quite as bad after and they wernt season ticket holders, well they wernt there sat anyway, but if they are and carry on i will report them.

Just to clarify, the f word dosnt bother me, you hear it everywhere these days, but i hate the c word.

The family area is called that fir a reason. Yes some of the songs are a bit ripe but standing and shouting f****** have em us not right.

If you want to do that you can sit in another area.

Like I say I'm no prude but there is right and wrong

What happens when you get a large gathering of grumpy old folk though in the west stand though? No unsuspecting calm fans to vent their grumpiness too only one another?

Do they instantaneously combust when a pass goes astray?

I think the club has to spread them out a bit to comply with the Fire Safety Certificate.

I class myself as an oldie, but l'm not grumpy. We have quite a few moaners round us and the are deff not oldies.

I never heard anyone call JohnO 'Solly' at the BBG yet it was his Scots nickname apparently.

His brilliant positional skills were summed up in his anthem (clean version as the Rams were so often on telly

"He's here, he's there, he's told us not to swear. John O'Hare!

He was built like Dave Mackay and Cloughie called him 'The best chester of a football in the business!'

    Brilliant times!

Remember singing that at all the matches he played in.

Exactly one year ago I and 1000s of fellow Rams fans were marching towards what we thought was possibly Derby's last game EVER. I don't think the magnitude of that word 'ever' really sunk in to most of us. But what a game we saw and the finale of Bielik's goal I will never forget. Mr Clowes I will be ever grateful for you saving this fantastic club of ours. Tonight we are on tv, we can do this. Chelsea at the baseball ground in 1968? Could that atmosphere be replicated? I bloody hope so. UTR!

My first match was the chelsea match, what a night that was, hooked eversince, and what a day the march was. Lets roar the rams to a win.

I tend to avoid Radio Derby as they're so bad. We could be 4 up and clean through on goal to score a 5th and they make it sound like we're being completely dominated.

I happened to flick it on on Saturday whilst in the car and within the space of two minutes Dawes managed to say that Sibley had been mugged. Which to me, and anyone else I've asked, tends to mean he has lost the ball easily but no, to Dawes it means he's been fouled. He then proceeded to say the keeper came to claim whilst simultaneously 'staying at home'. Feel like I need a Dawes Dictionary to decipher what the hell is going on and who's playing well.

I dont listen to radio Derby now, would rather follow the away games on this forum.

We cannot replicate the march. It was a product of a unique feeling of togetherness and desperation of our fan base, this was a time when many of us felt extinction was beckoning for an institution that had served our community since before any of us were born. The march whilst beautiful to witness, showing off the very best characteristics not just of Derby but of football in general, was also horrifying in the sense we felt we had to do it at all. I genuinely hope no other fan base feels the need to march like we did in an attempt to highlight our club's plight and fight for survival.

Everyone who participated should not only feel proud that they came out but have now entered Derby folklore. Generations will speak of that march not unlike we discuss the big European nights under the baseball ground lights. Except, in this version the fans are the heroes, the ones who stepped up and demanded resolutions. United not divided we all helped save the club from oblivion. For that reason I believe the club should mark that date every year with some kind of tribute.

Perhaps a video with players and former management with what it meant to them would be appropriate as well as interviewing fans who participated on the march accompanied by the silent drone footage which shows the sheer scale of it all. If we got to Wembley instead of playing steve bloomer's watching I'd see if I could get that shown pre-match tbh.

Agree totally, it was the thought that our club could dissapear into the history books, and probably would have if it had not been for our saviour DC. So could never be replicated in my  opinion. Next big  celebration when we win  promotion to the prem hopefully?
