Thought experiment: imagine Warne is pushed or jumps ship over the summer after only a part season. That would leave us with one of the all-time 'what ifs', especially if his replacement struggles.
This demand for immediate results is exactly what got Derby in the s*** in the first place.
We need to hold our nerve and not sound like a load of little girls.
Or little boys😉

Played every minute of last season, led the players through adversity, the season before he signed a waiver to allow him to be on the bench on the last day in case he was needed and put the club before himself. But some people want to focus on a pen that, in my view wasn’t a pen. Personally, at this level I’d give him another.
Agree, he was the backbone of the team last season, kept the team and the fans together. I wish him well whatever he decides to do next season.

Yes, but we knew our fate, like I said - we don’t
Cant see what difference that makes really, f we dont get in the playoffs it will be our last home match, and alot of the kids like to see the players come round.

I didn’t stay, my lad and dad didn’t want to either. It just felt odd when we don’t know our fate, and it might not be the last game at Pride Park this season…
I think even when we have been in play offs, there as always been a lap of honour at the last home league match.

I was trying to get through a four pack sitting by Wembley way that day. Curtis took two cans to get past me, he stopped and chatted to every fan who stopped him. He didn't need to but he had time for the fans.
He was at the rams 50 years since the league title evening. At the end fans were queing to have their photos taken with him and he did it willingly, what a lovely man.

Just the one change for me with Barkhuizen in for Sibley, who I thought was the most wasteful in the final third last weekend.
Personally i think Sibley needs to start.

No one even knows what the restrictions are, think warne was quoting as saying “a substantial portion of the budget is available” in January. I don’t think things as tight as portrayed. We budgeted for lower crowds than have been getting alps.
Would be increased income from being in championship, plus the play offs also generates money.
Also is not many sides that go into the championship and come straight down. We’d need to survive for a year and can the look to crack on.
Finally we’d look a lot more attractive to new owners in the championship as well.
preferring to stay in this decision would be mental.
Why do we need to look attractive to new owners, DC seems to be enjoying ownership of the rams. I think he is in it for the forseeable future.

Vimto I hear what you're saying, I wish I could build a time machine and whisk back to the 70s, A mad decade of fun and games, Pubs on the doorstep, The Football Tavern, The Hilton, The Windmill, The Grange, The Crystal Palace, The Cambridge, Fish n chips a stones throw from the BBG, Nip in the Baseball Hotel for the last drink, Season ticket out and with a click of the turnstile and you're in, Approaching the Vulcan St end of the Popside and the site of the crowd, Walk up to the place where you always stood and a wink and a nod to the lads who are already there.
Do I miss those days...you bet I do, Almost 42k against Spurs winning 5-0, Liverpool, United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle all came and thought they could conquer but went away battered and bruised.
Hillsboro, Heysel and Bradford brought us all down with a huge bump, Our stadia were not fit for purpose, Seats were put in the BBG, Chelsea and Leeds used them as frisbees.
No...we had to move on, Unfortunately PP is what it is, A sanitised ground to watch a game of football with very little atmosphere, I talk to a Spurs fan a season ticket holder at a cost of £6k for their new stadium, He says he'd move back to White Hart Lane in a heartbeat 😉 It's called progress...or so we're told 😬
Agree, the atmosphere changed in Baseball Ground as soon as it went all seater, thats why they need to bring back designated standing areas in all grounds. Mind you i appreciate my seat now im the older generation😂

Pinched from elsewhere.
“What is the earliest in a match that a player has been booked for 'time-wasting'?"
On 22 December 1979, Derby County played Liverpool and the Rams were awarded a penalty after just 20 seconds, which they scored. At the time Derby were on a downward spiral towards near-bankruptcy, Robert Maxwell and the old Third Division. Roy McFarland recognised that Derby were unlikely to win against the eventual league champions and so, with not a little humour, on getting the ball from the ensuing kick-off he hoofed the ball high into the stands; the referee was not amused and booked him. The report does not list the exact time, but it was pretty much around the two-minute mark.
……………..after years of watching Archie Gemmill close out the last five minutes of a match down near the corner flag it never occurred to the cheering thousands that it was time wasting.👍🐏
Regards archie, at least the ball was in play, he wasnt rolling about in so called agony, come to think of it it wasnt a common thing in the 60's wasting time like that.

Interesting, B4. The official team sheet does still list Bird as Captain, but I wasn't there on Saturday to see who was actually wearing the armband.
Im sure i saw bird give the armband to forsythe when he was subbed.

who said its anything to do with DC that you are stoking division? that post prooves that. i am in exactly the same boat as you when it comes to DC, the man saved the club FFS .
you are overly sensitive about my comment saying he is not telling the truth, which i dont think he is. if you GENUINELY believe that his ambition is to have us in the championship in 5 years then you really are niave, to suggest otherwise is delusion
its not a critique of clowes at all, just how i see it. AND HOW IT IS.
I think how you see it is'nt how it is. You are actually calling him a liar and what i have seen of and read of DC i dont think he is.

I worry about this game being a rancid one unless we can pull a rabbit out of the hat. I think the fans will be on the players early doors, as well as the manager, especially if Ipswich get off to a good start. 3
Not to mention, if we lose it's our third defeat in a row, back-to-back home defeats, 4th defeat in 5 games... critically, probably out of the top 6.
The boos will be heard for miles at full-time.
Not personally referring to you by the way.😁

Well getting onto the players early if not playing well is not going to do anything for their confidence, especially the young ones is it. If you want to boo(personally i dont do booing) at least save it till the final whistle.

Otherwise the men would have to look after them.
There were a lot of men there with their kids, one with a 3 year old girl who had just bought a scarf walking home. He said he had took her to that match first to see if she liked it before taking her to a rams match. He said she loved it so a future rams fan i think.😉

Me and the lad went to it. Forest were the better side and deserved the win.
An impressive (mixed) crowd of just under 5.5k. Puts some Men’s league 1 crowds to shame!I was there also, lovely to see so many children there as well.
