  1. Really like this initiative so made our way over to the hub before the game on Saturday to buy £20 worth. Lovely guy at the door who spent 10 minutes telling me all about his struggles with his mental health and how much the community trust had helped him. Said he would never have been able to talk to fellow fans without the confidence he had gained through them and had learned how to help others which in turn helped him. Nervous as hell but he wanted to do his bit to repay them. Makes you realise just what a positive effect any form of community outreach can have and what a strong brand dcfc is. Loved hearing his story and all he told me about the various things the club do to support in areas I wasn't aware of. Whoever you were you are a truly inspiring man. Keep up the great work.

  2. Ok. I dont post much but have spent more time on this thread than is healthy. Morning, noon, night, at work, at airports, in hospital and so on. The news is fantastic and I will be eternally grateful to DC for saving the club and allowing me and my boy to keep avidly following dcfc home and away. Means so much to us all. Just a massive thankyou to everyone who has endeavoured to keep posting every snippet of information, every relevent tweet, every update and making it easy to find everything in one place. In the main you have posted stuff on here way before it was picked up anywhere else and seconds after it was realeased.  I really  appreciate your efforts in keeping us updated and once again for playing ahuge part in supporting us all with witty comments, beer talk, absolute rubbish at times but I have felt amongst true fans on this forum and am so pleased we can look forward again. There will be better days ahead for us all.

  3. The whole thing is just sad, sad, sad. No real positive anyone just which awful situation is less awful than the next. False hope shows up after every slightest positive.  I want to take my grandkids to follow the rams just as all my grandfathers did not sit there and say " when I was your age we supported the local team - Derby County. We went to Wembley a few times and won a bit you know. Google them if you dont believe me!" Dear god give us some hope soon. We dont deserve this death by a thousand cuts. Just get it done or over with soon and let us all breathe again.

  4. Another dip on the DCFC roller coaster then and clearly some angry, stressed, concerned and scared fans on here and elsewhere. God knows I'm one of them but it isnt healthy hanging on every comment craving the latest news and willing it to be positive.  Just setting up for another kicking. I've spoken to loads of family and friends today and I'm really struggling to keep regurgitating the same comments and keeping the faith. Just mindful of what the club means but also none of us can influence the outcome. Take a break if you can, stay off social media, take a walk, talk to the kids about school,  go for a pint but look out for yourselves and each other please. There will be good days again. Once a ram always a ram.

  5. If or when they open the tills again would season ticket money go to aged debt payments or new season running costs? If local small companies are owed I'd be happy to pay a small premium on top if needed as long as it went to the right place.  Wouldn't like to think we would leave the milkman or the window cleaner high and dry. If there is a plan to pay off over three years. Fine by me also to match that.  Its a community club so look after the community. Every penny helps and all that.

  6. Very proud and emotional.  Saw a couple of guys dressed in Wolves jackets also on the march. Fella next to us said they had come to show support as fellow fans of the great game. Prospective buyers can't help but be impressed. Buy the club and you get this lot for free. Cant put a price on the passion seen today. Hopefully the club made a few quid out of it as well.

  7. "Derby till I die" we'll be getting the bus down early. Might ask the driver for a free ride if he's a fan. Perhaps Trent or Arriva could donate a free ride to anyone in a shirts or fully dcfc attired out? They must make a few quid on a matchday and would be a good show of support for the city/club. Might even get the numbers up. Also no match ticket needed for anyone who just wants to show support and join the march.

  8. EFL and MFC agree a deal to go after us not them. WW get upset last season as they believe we should have had some points deducted and complain to the EFL who say please dont be nasty to us. However, there may be way we can advise you of - lets get together for a chat. Too many similarities in both cases surely with the EFL as the common denominator.  Absolutely stinks.

  9. I hate all this feeling I have of being unable to directly financially help our club. We have four season tickets and have cash waiting to renew regardless of what league we may or may not be in. If they sort it out they can have my cash now. I understand they cant sell me season tickets now whilst this lot is going on but surely we must somehow be able to show future income is just waiting there to help. Push a three year ticket at a monthly cost even. Just wonder how many clubs not in our position are already receiving ST revenue now or in the near future to help their clubs through these covid/crazy times giving them further ways of not being in a similar situation. This total impasse is not helping either way in finding funds or bringing in cash now when its needed most. Assume commercial revenues are also possibly being held up in sponsorship, hospitality,  events and so on. Keep the faith and apologies for stating the obvious!

  10. Ok so a little time before the next home match. Given we know that there has been some genuine interest in potential new ownership its fair to say there would be some representation in the ground for home matches going forward.  How about a show of support for the club with something like a minutes applause in the 18th and 84th minutes to honour the year we were founded 1884. Standing ovations would be more potent. I know the atmosphere has been great lately but might just highlight the loyalty of our fan base and prove we are with the club through thick and thin. I know we show support by being there and all show support in many ways but anything extra the Derby Army can do might be good for solidarity and show we are all in it together.  Bit of time to get the message out there but im no expert in how to do that! Someone with media links or maybe the club itself getting involved? If its been mentioned elsewhere apologies I dont post much but just thinking of something different.  We do it to commemorate people passing ar certain times but this is to show we are very much alive and kicking!

  11. My boy stuck at a school footy match in sinfin. They've been waiting for 2 hours for the bus up to now to take them back to his school for their bags and so on. We'll grab him from there and try and get there but cant see it happening at the minute given we would still be 30 odd minutes from the ground.  Changed all my work schedule today to be local for this one as well. Left the house at 3.00am to be back mid afternoon. Bloody typical on the day we all desperately want to get behind them. Had the boy in tears. Life ain't easy as a ram these days thats for sure but sincere thoughts and best wishes to anyone with loved ones involved in the carnage. It's only a game for us.

  12. Reform could be on the cards if enough clubs want it. Championship is full of very rich owners who can fund their clubs very easily if they could. Its their cash so its up to them to decide how they spend it. However, they are restricted by the rules despite any desire to put something into the local team (coates family an example). Other clubs who bounce up and down to the PL will be terrified of what is happening to us, Stoke,  Blues, wendies and every other club of decent size who are now uncompetitive due to rules. Everything hinges on an automatic return.  the super league debacle I wouldn't be surprised to see PL2 resurface and a reduction in PL to 16 or so clubs in each league. The money generation would be huge and attractive to Norwich,  fulham, WBA and so on. Starves the smaller clubs sadly and takes the romance out of small teams competing fairly. Ultimately the game may just have to follow the cash to fund quality TV time. Very sad but bigger clubs will hold the cards maybe but how can you say its a level field now with some getting a £50m season headstart. The gap gets bigger.
