I'm liking the way they're sorting out the team from back to front, as it should be. Warne gets points for doing the obvious which was getting wing backs. This alone is going to drag us up the table as will create more chances.
Sense it’s also because attacking players may cost money. Need to see what’s happening with outgoings and what money we have.

Cybulski is 6'5" but poor in the air. I don't care how tall they are, as long as the win their aerial battles. Cashin excels at this part of the game, having won more headers than anyone else in the league. He's improving at the % of battles won - 57% in 21/22 improved to 65% in 22/23, so it'll be exciting to see the number he puts up this season.
Curtis Nelson and Sonny Bradley rank quite low in terms of % of battles won at about 58%, with Harding even lower at 50%. If we are after any of those, I'd be surprised if we don't balance it out with a signing like Flint, who is usually around the 70% mark
But how accurate are those? I have no figures, but you’re right, Cashin challenges well and often gets his head on things, but due to his height the ball often doesn’t go where he’d want it to.

I think it's even less likely we sign JCH than we do Sonny Bradley, and I don't think we'll sign him either.

To me, I'd have no issue with Knight going to one of the top end Championship or lower Premier League teams, but I just don't see the value in the likes of Bristol City for him.

I’d prefer Bradley, but in Big Trav we trust. A back 5 of Elder, Cashin, Nelson, Harding & Ward is still perfectly fine for this level.
6ft the biggest player in all of those 5. So, I don't think it would be fine.

Don't really know anything about him. He seems to have played regular left back for Hull last season, so is he being signed as a wingback, or for the left side of a back 3?
Wingback

Just Bradley & Harding to sign then to give us the best defence in the division…
You're a BT believer aren't you? He's said no to Bradley.

His interview is good, he talks well.
Did chuckle when @Owen87ITKasked him what could we expect from him, as in, style of play etc and he just says "promotion". Call me a fan already.

Hey everybody!! Get in here! Warne has convinced a player to play for him rather than Rosenior!

Losing that game is one of those things, you could say the declaration did it but you could say it was them having us batting when the weather was most favourable for that brief period.
Either way, this brand of cricket will produce wins and losses, with less draws. We'll win games we have no right to, and lose some games we should have won through things like this or batting collapses. Much more exciting regardless.

Yeah I’ve noted that since. I forgot Peterborough’s chairman seems to want to let the whole world know his business. Was the same with the Marriott deal.
Wouldn't normally expect details of contracts not yet signed to be disclosed - just a “contract offered” is usually all you’d see.
Pretty sure that retained list that was shared here was from the season prior where he was extended, hence he’s now out of contract this summer. Think there was a bit of confusion around it in another thread.

League 1 top goal scorer and the 5th top scorer as well as a player who scored 41 goals last season and you would be miffed?
I'm assuming miffed is now street lingo for pretty darn impressed and I'm just too old to know 😅
No. A lot of money for 2 30 year olds who have only really scored goals for 2 seasons, and then a striker in the Jack Marriott mould who’s only useful in the box (wouldn’t fit in the system we want to use).
-
I’d be properly miffed if we spaffed what money we did make on those 3.

1m is really disappointing for Bielik. I know he’s had his injuries, but I’d really be hoping to get closer to 3m. His quality is unbelievable. Genuinely think there’s a top half Prem player in there when fit.
- Doesn't want to be here
- We can't afford his wages for him to be here
- 1 year left on his contact
- 2 ACL injuries
The fact we're getting money for him to go permanently and we're not just loaning him before he goes for free is a bonus.

Alternatively: Posh find easy scapegoat in player who they long suspected was about to leave anyway (?)
He also made a big error in the semi final second leg... see Keogh for how fans remember those sort of things.

It's steady. I'm not disappointed or thrilled either, just have to see how he plays. What I will say is though... it was on a free, he won't be on a fortune and we didn't have a player who could play in his position in the squad. So for all those reasons, it ticks a lot of boxes.

I think it’s Bradley, Ward hasn’t got his fingers tattooed from the pics I found whereas Bradley does
But that does move to RWB

See who the players are first... even Warne told us signings were coming this week!

A million short at least for me.
