We signed six players, Collins, Smith, McGoldrick, Mendez-Laing, Hourihane and Chester, anyone of which would probably get into any other team in this league.
We’ve managed to keep Knight, Bird, Cashin,  Sibley, Davies, Thompson, Stearman and Forsyth.
We’ve signed youngsters Oduroh, Rooney plus Dobbin, Osula and Roberts on loan.
We signed three keepers including Wildsmith who is my player of the season.
Considering that just a few months back we were on the verge of handing the club to Kirchner, had five players under contract and no pre season the performances so far are to quote a well known ex manager of this famous football club “nothing short of remarkable”.

Happy New Year to all Ramsfans and……………………Thank you David Clowes.

And interesting too that of the top 10 Sir Brian only bought two players to the club - Roy and Archie.  The rest (of that era) were already Rams players.  He and Peter could spot a player at other clubs and our own.
I still think that the game was harder for players in the 60's and 70's when we talk of the rigours of the modern game - training/sports science/medical care/pitches/smaller squads/more games/tackling/referees were all different.  I doubt that when today's squad come back in 40 years time for an appearance on the pitch that they'll hobble on like Alan Durban or John O'Hare.  I'll bet a fair few played with the benefit of painkillers that probably wouldn't be allowed nowadays.

We should forego throwings. Let the other side have ours too. We don’t do anything with ours, and we look a lot more effective when teams are a little further up the pitch, with a chance for us to break on them. I bet Warne goes with this. He likes crazy ideas.

Fascinating, especially how many at the top of the list were in the 'Sir Brian' years. Is this because of the rigours of modern football, or the size of the pay packets?
In the Championship year under Cloughie, I think about 10 of the players played in 38 or more of the 42 matches. Hector played all 42 I believe.

Are there any plans for a Fozzy testimonial? I'm sure he doesn't need the money but even if he gave all proceeds to charity it'd be great for supporters to have the chance to acknowledge a Rams stalwart who always gives 100% without any of the preening narcissism you get from some Ronaldos of the footballing world.

Phoenix reacted to CBRammette in Paul Warne appointed as Head Coach
Wasnt too keen on Warne's appointment, liked Liam but not a fan of the endless passing around across the back and thought club PR overly highlighted Paul's personality at the start probably to his detriment with fans like me who found it tedious. Saying Warne favours hoofball is unfair - he obviously wants fast passing moves up pitch but we dont have the players to always do that but when it does work it is great to see.  Little while in I really like him and his team and where we are trying to go as a club. What they have done with rag-tag defensive options during injury period is excellent.  must be so difficult with the ?MM left behind particularly regarding player contract positions under the restrictions etc but we're trying to build nicely and happy with season so far. So much so debut for new bobble hat v Cambridge ??

    Yes.
It was a hard fought game, on a poor pitch in often pouring rain.
What were you expecting? Who should we have played? Pissing about at the back would have spiced things up a bit I suppose. ?

There's plenty of talent and we try to show it. Today there wasn't much chance, it was competed at pace by both teams. But there was flashes of good play from both sides.

    2022 eh?
It was the worst of years and the best of years.
I may have nicked that from somewhere!
We nearly died, it seemed half the football world wanted us to, from the hierarchy of the EFL to absolute chancers and grifters like Steve Gibson. I will always despise Rick Parry and Gibson. Despicable human beings who represent pretty much everything that is wrong with this world. Grubby, greedy little men who think they are above everyone else with no empathy for ordinary people.
We fought. Our support was unprecedented, unbelievable, superb, every game until the end of the season was the best I've ever seen. There were games toward the end where I just stood in the middle of the South Stand and marvelled at every stand singing as one, it was emotional, uplifting, it made me proud to be a Derby fan, proud to be from this beautiful, wonderful, part of the country.
The march on the day of the Birmingham match. Those of us who were there will never forget it. Looking back from the flyover near the station and seeing the road full all the way back to Traffic Street......its a wide road!
We've had our Christmas present, our club survived thanks to our unconditional support which I believe convinced David Clowes to step in and do what most of us would have done if we could.
Merry Christmas to all of you, keep the faith and get behind the Rams at every game you can get to.

I think David Clowes gave us all an early Christmas present this year, so I’m not asking for much else.
Would like to get hold of Santa’s work schedule and cross off the following households:-
Kirchners, Gibsons, Couhigs, all the EFL board, Fake Sheikh ( probably doesn’t do Christmas) Ploppys.
