Hurrah, an actual thread about a football match! 
Looking forward to seeing the boys on the pitch again. Hope we get a win to lift everyone's spirits.

Some of the news and rumour about the club over the international break hasn't been pleasing. Let's try to get back to the football.
In a bizarre turn of events, it's when I'm watching Derby County play this season that I'm actually at my least disappointed with the club.

Braved the badlands of Burton Albion away, all on my own. 
We lost, the game was awful and one quizical look from a local aside, nothing occurred.

Been in the home end at Leeds when Sir Jake got the winner a few minutes from the end , 2013 i think , just about managed to stay sitting on my hands and keeping my mouth shut , but when Jake scored myself and 2 mates completely lost it , we were taken out by stewards in the nick of time , didnt realise Leeds hated us that much hahahaha

Hartlepool FA cup on a pitch that was worse than the BBG, A good few of us went in the Hartlepool end 50+, Not a lot to show...until 20mins before K Off, Middlesboro came in known as the "Frontline" we didn't know at the time, More and more came in, Vastly out numbered, Backs to the wall stuff, Rescued by OB, Quite a buzz tho... We were holed up at a place called Seaton Carew wow what a tip, Went in their local, Full of old men all huddled around the TV/Video, We asked the landlord what's with all them old boys, Dirty beggers they are...all come in the watch Baywatch that I tape for them, They're not allowed to watch at home?

First away game as a kid went with my Dads mate who got me a ticket for Derby v Forest at their place. Unfortunately had to go in the Forest part as he was a red! Kept quiet until Forest missed a penalty and cheered...got some funny looks from big blokes looking around to see who was cheering and seeing a kid! Finished 1-1. How we got a draw from that game I will never know.

Dont let the EFL know the roof is only held on with hinges, they may reinvestigate the revaluation of Pride Park.

Difficult game, they (The Gumps) will see this as the game not only for pride but the one to kick start the season. We need to keep up the we are Derby everyone hates us mentality and go for from the off

I think it’s a great opportunity for us but it has 0-0 or 1-1 written all over it, maybe a scrappy 1-0 win either way. With the exception of the 3-0 defeat in the cup when we played the kids, every game since our 2-0 win in late 2017 has either been settled by the odd goal for them or it’s been a draw. Forest may have been rubbish so far but they’re not shipping lots of goals so everything would seem to suggest it will be another tight one.
 
Let’s hope not though and we can put in a positive performance to beat them comfortably.

As so often the case, this is a huge match for both clubs. We win and it's 8 points from the opening 5 games, despite all the issues, setting us up for a season of possible surprises. Optimism will reign going into the international break, and how we need some of that. Yet lose and 5 points from 5 games is relegation form.
For them, lose and Hughton must be gone sending them even further into disarray and cut adrift on nil points at the foot of the table. Win and they're within touching distance and potentially just 1 game away from overtaking us.
@Ghost of Cloughnailed the team on the first page. My prediction is we'll dominate the game but Sibley will have 2 goals wrongly chalked off and the Gumps will end up scraping a draw.
But it is a moment for heroes and a chance for players to write their name into Derby history. Back in front of the fans at last, and for this game. It's what you want to become a professional footballer for. I hate 12.30 kickoffs but let's hope the players are ready and the atmosphere's electric and we pummel them into next week.

Let's be honest between all the crap Derby fans put up with its hardly a surprise and I wouldn't blame them , the price for a season ticket is just not worth what we witness on the field , and then they added a none disclosure onto a meeting that was to give fans information,  sad times and very poor club management 

I said in 1984 that if Derby go to the wall I'd never go to another match, nothing has changed for me. 

If Lawrence is that bad, why are West Brom looking at signing him?
Marshall i agree is now not needed so we might as well sell and give the 3rd GK position to a youngster.
Jozwiak is capable of so much more, he is being restricted massively playing in this team and system.
Sibley is arguably our most promising young player, why you would want rid of him i don't understand. Rooney once had a problem with getting bookings/making silly fouls. Think he turned out alright as a player.?
Your saying you would replace these players with anyone dumb enough to sign. So overall we would be in a much worse position.
That makes no sense at all.

I thought we all understood that the squad and management were up against it and it was time for better or worse to stick with them? Didn't last long did it. 

Still 17th as the table stands at the moment. I'd take that at the end of the season ?

Shall we start a list of who we can't sack?

My favourite part of the tactics is getting  the players to completely switch positions during the game to confuse the opposition!
I mean who’d expect us play Lawrence as a part time CDM?

How long since a league win ? what style are we trying to play ? It’s a shambles on the field with a decent starting 11 , we are open as hell down our right , disjointed going forward and disorganised in defence ,, it’s a joke , ex player with zero management skills and ex pundit with no skill either ,, please god give it to wassell over these clowns
