Dean (hick) Saunders got a reaction from RoyMac5 in New laptop specs?
I’m still nursing a Windows Vista machine along that has some movie maker software I like on it.
Almost everything has stopped working on it but somehow still it has a pulse.
Sorry I can’t help, but thought I would share my story. 😀

According to my sauce, there is a lady at B&M Spondon called Beryl, if you head there on a Saturday between 9am and 12 she will show you her baps for 4 quid.

Maybe it’s Sally the tea lady who’s head was turned by the promise of a bigger kettle at Burton Albion.

Update from my previous post on here...
Kyiv was (A week or so ago) looking immaculate. Spotlessly clean. All public transport running like clockwork. All shops, bars, restaurants etc, and workplaces up and running to full capacity. "You wouldn't know there is a war on"!
However, when the nationwide Air raid alarm thingy goes off on the mobiles (Remember our practice fiasco a few months ago?), my son has been advised to "Not sleep through it next time"! 🙄
Out in the sticks... further East, where Kharkiv turns to woodland turns to minefields... it's a little less immaculate, as one might expect... but the clear up is now officially under way! Hoorah!
Not perfect, as Halo Trust are now down half a million $$ worth of robotic digger, but hey, that's what robots are for, yeah? And there's more on the way.
Better robots than people, eh?
So far, so safe! 🤞

Dean (hick) Saunders reacted to Mostyn6 in A new daily game. Name the year & opponents of a famous Rams match
does anyone else get a gut-wrench when they watch these nostalgic videos? A stadium I can never attend again, players I can never enjoy watching live again, a standard of footballer for Derby I am unlikely to see again. In innocence and level playing-field financially that we will never experience again.
It actually hurts me watching this, and I pine to be back in those days.

I didn’t really want Rhodes anyway, and none of this has persuaded me otherwise. If we’re adding Waghorn, that gives us 4 forwards with a combined age of 129.

I get that if Warne identifies targets , his recruitment team then get them in and they then underperform then Warne ultimate carries the can for this.
What I was alluding to was if Warne passes a list of targets on and his recruitment team then fail to get any of them in as the player doesn't fancy dropping down a division, their wages are too rich for us, other clubs are in for them etc then why should Warne be then judged on this?
This could be near to the scenario we are in at the moment with us seemingly struggling to get in a guaranteed 20 goals a season striker for free on wages which sit within our budget. Maybe it's because too many of the factors are mutually exclusive too when you add them as filters to give a final search of.....zero.
If people also think that Warne should be persuading players to come here just through sheer force of personality and if he can't then this is a slight on him as a manager then this is naive at one extreme and prejudiced at the other.....

Dean (hick) Saunders reacted to Comrade 86 in Style over Substance?
Style demands are quickly drowned out when you're winning every week. If Warne delivers on his stated aims this season (as he needs to), there'll be very few complaints, though other reasons to whine will doubtless be sought and found.

Dean (hick) Saunders reacted to Raich Carter in Style over Substance?
Probably an unpopular opinion but I'm not a fan of tika-taka either and agree re: Roseniors' style of play - I understood the philosophy, just found it boring. PW has a proven formula for getting out of L1 so I'm happy to back him regardless of the style of play he employs to get us back to the Championship.

Tis a dying art, once upon a time it was etiquette for a knee and a beer to be in the foreground.
Standards have slipped somewhat.
