''Small club mentality'' give over. Define what that actually means. You haven't ever actually provided an evidence backed statement against Warne, you just make vague none statements like the above that don't actually mean anything. He got Rotherham promoted plenty of times, and there is no reason at all why he couldn't do the same here.

While relying on the academy to develop players is a sound strategy, it's not a guarantee of success. Having a mix of academy graduates and experienced players can provide balance to the squad and help achieve success. While a consistent playing style is important, it's also important to be adaptable and able to adjust to different opponents and situations. Therefore, appointing warne who is implementimg a consistent style while also being flexible was essential. Warne has brought fresh ideas and perspectives to the club. The key is to ensure that the style and philosophy are aligned with the club's long-term vision. Ultimately, the success of a club depends on a variety of factors, including financial stability, strong leadership, a clear vision, and a willingness to adapt and evolve over time

The issue is many fans still see the club as a big club, rather than a club trying to rebuild.
Doing the rebuild on free agents and loan players.
Not recognising that there are some teams of better quality than derby given the current situation.
If we want to get promoted we need a stronger team, given that we nearly went bankrupt, we have come along way.
I think given the club's issues, warne has done a brilliant job.
I don't see us promoted this season or next, I do see us promoted when we can buy some talent to improve the team.
How can warne get success for the club given the restrictions.
Next season several new teams enter the league, with teams that are reasonably decent at this level.
Derby had to bring in a lot of new players last season, just to be allowed to play in the league because the squad was too small.
This summer more talent will leave us.

In my personal opinion.  I would say it is still too early to judge.
He inherited this team.  Ask yourself at the start of the season,  how many of these players would he have chosen to play his style.
I say his style of play because he has been successful at this level playing his team that way. Will that style work further up the ladder? Who knows.
I still believe he needs a couple of seasons to build the team he wants. Then he can be judged as it would be his sword to fall on.
Let's not even think of changing yhe manager AGAIN. As part of this mess us down to constant change.
Stability is the way forward for now.

Winning promotion from League One requires a combination of several key factors, including:
Consistent Performance: A team must consistently perform well throughout the season to win League One. This involves maintaining a high level of fitness, skill, and focus, and being able to consistently execute the game plan.
If you look at our clubs recent performances they have not been consistently good enough.
Strong Defence: A solid defence is essential for any team that wants to win League One. This involves having a well-organized and disciplined backline that can prevent opponents from scoring, as well as a goalkeeper who can make crucial saves when called upon.

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.sportsmole.co.uk/football/league-one/best-defence.html
Attacking Prowess: A team must also be able to score goals consistently to win League One. This requires a potent attacking unit that can create chances and convert them into goals, as well as players who can provide creative spark and innovation in the final third.
Teamwork: Winning League One is not just about individual talent; it also requires a team to work together cohesively. This means having players who are willing to put in the hard work for each other, communicate effectively, and understand their roles and responsibilities within the team.
Our team with 24 players is one of the smallest in the league. Barnsley, Ipswich and Plymouth, each have 29 first team players. Bolton have 26 first team players.
Good Management: A successful team must have a strong and effective management structure in place. This includes a manager who can motivate and inspire the players, as well as a coaching staff who can provide technical and tactical support.
obviously pw has great experience in promoting teams from league 1.
Overall, winning League One is a challenging task that requires a combination of talent, hard work, and effective management.

A few weeks ago , we all agreed that our players were looking tired . Many of them have been “Bench Warmers” in the last few years and not used to playing 40 games a season. Warne has tried to freshen things up, but it hasn’t worked. However he may have burnt his bridges with Hourihane by subbing him in the first half and leaving Bird on.

On our day, we can beat any team in the division. Sadly, that's also true of half a dozen other sides. Oddly, I've become quite indifferent to which league we play in. The Championship would be good as it would allow us to re-build the Academy roster, but it's now a nice to have not a mandatory. I guess nearly losing the club altogether has altered my priorities somewhat.
Also, I f****** hate the play-offs and would scrap them completely if it were up to me. If you finish 3rd across an entire season, you've earned the slot available on merit. Creating a play-off lottery serves no purpose bar further filling the EFL coffers and as far as I'm concerned, they can get in the bin. That said, if we manage to scrape our way into promotion the way the tree botherer's did, I'll be back to extol their virtues, the play-offs that is, not the feckin gumps.

    Hey fellow Derby County fans,
I know we're all feeling frustrated and disappointed about the EFL's punishment of our club. It's unfair that we have to suffer the consequences of the actions of our former owner, Mel Morris. He's the one who oversaw the overspending and managerial turnover that led us to where we are today.
But I also want to point out that there was a way for Mel Morris to be punished without it affecting us and our club. The EFL could have imposed fines or sanctions on Morris personally, rather than punishing the club and its supporters.
I think it's important to acknowledge this because it's not fair for us to bear the brunt of someone else's mistakes. We love our club and we want to see it thrive, but it's hard to do that when we're facing such harsh punishments.
Let's continue to support our team through this difficult time, but let's also push for more accountability from those who are responsible. We deserve better.

What annoys me about the continuing Efl punishment is that it is dressed up as a business plan. If you are challenging for promotion , getting crowds of 25k plus why should you be paying less in wages than your promotion rivals. That’s not a business plan, it’s a pure punishment.

I just wanted to share my thoughts on our current situation. Personally, I don't see our team as being worthy of promotion at the moment. It's frustrating to watch, but I think our hands are tied due to the transfer restrictions imposed on us.
In my opinion, the 2-year ban on transfers from the EFL was too harsh. It's clear that they wanted to make an example out of our club, without any consideration for the impact it would have on us fans. We're now facing the possibility of losing some of our best players like Cashin and Knight in the summer, which is really going to harm our chances.
It's not fair that the EFL is happy to give demoted Premier League teams an unfair advantage with parachute payments, but they're so quick to punish us for a mistake our former owner made. It just feels immoral to punish Derby in this way.
To add to our troubles, some of our older players seem tired and worn out from playing too many physical games. It's a tough time to be a Rams fan, but I'm still holding out hope for brighter days ahead.
Are we expecting too much of the younger less experienced players we have.
